This is great but you should be able to view all types of files now that there's a delete option.
This idea was mentioned on their forum too. I've also suggested the idea of allowing this to be changed; a setting in the menu or the XML to decide whether we would want to see every file on the card or only the ones that can run (i.e. .nds, .gba, etc.)

How is this being advertised as a completely new GUI and I tried it and it 80% the same except the features added...

GUI overhaul =/= new GUI

QUOTEthe GUI is still dull and boring IMO

That's very interesting.

Maybe if it was pink it would be more to your tastes?

I welcome these common sense improvements but it's like Cyclo simply cut the good options from Akaio and pasted them to the EVO. In some respects like the popup menu and shortcuts make the Cyclo look very Acekardish.

I'm enjoying the bookmark option. With a 16gig microSD, navigating to your current favorite game can be a chore sometimes. The bookmark feature eliminates that hassle. The file manager is something I've been wanting on the CycloDS for a long time now and I'm sure I'll use that a lot. And we went from having no extra save slots to TEN of the suckers available for each game now?! Cool! I think sticking the RTS feature in a menu instead of relying on a button press was a good idea. Cheats are a little trickier to enable now, but it's nothing I can't deal with. I like that the GUI still works fine with all the old skins. That makes life easier.

Hey, and they fixed a few more games too.......which ones are those now? (friggin' screwed-up release numbers across different sites makes it hard to know which games they're even talking about anymore.....

People still getting lock-ups in Strange Journey? Did they fix that?

Waiting to see some pics or something before I decide to give it a go or not,as for lock ups in SJ some people(including myself) tried turning the backround music off and I havn't had a lock up since with the 1.59 beta 1 and I have been playing the game off and on for the last 2-3 days.....

That reminds me:

R4 was around before Acekard, right?

So Acekard is a blatant R4 rip-off.

I also wonder if they fixed that 127 file limit in a folder deal.....I really hope so.
Have you tried testing it.....
That's not really a bug. That's there to prevent massive slowdowns from having too many files clustered in one folder.
A user there confirmed that the limit is still there. For the time being, at least. It's ok with me, I've never hit the limit.

I don't see how that is a problem. Just make another folder?

Hm. I like the bookmarking system, however, when it replaces the Moonshell function, it crashes. If you set it to Main Menu it works fine and is pretty cool I must say.

The scroll works, seems a little overly sensitive at times and lags slightly, but that could be due to how many files it is navigating or the large icons?

Other then that, bookmarking is nice, the extra saving and scroll. But, to the untrained eye, it looks very similar to the old version.

i wonder what they mean cheats are managed by per game basis?
I think it means that they are managed the same way as the AK does it, as in seperate files (the Acekard makes .cc files for each game).

I'm not sure that they are managed in .cc files or something similar but the cheats option has to be enabled separately for each game.

I don't really understand the major differences such as bookmarks. The only noticeable thing for me is a list of increase options and more fluid touch screen scrolling.
