ROM Hack Pokemon AP/patch threads..

First off, a big thank you goes to both the GBAtemp users spending hours upon hours trying to find a fix with little to no knowledge, and the moderator(s) having to deal with so many obsessed people.
Happy to see a firmware update for the CycloDS fixes the issue, however I was just wondering about something reported in the "list of known things about HG/SS AP": "Xenophobia is working on a fix". To me, it seems rather weird XPA would try to work on a fix when apparently the problem comes from the flashcarts and is solved through firmware update. So I was wondering if the information about XPA actually working on the fix was a known fact or just a guess? Using R4 with YSM myself, this information is rather vital for us, seeing as the company stopped releasing firmware updates more than a year ago and Yasu is occasionally updating the card all by himself.
Regardless, everyone being able to play the game fine, enjoy.

toni i must thank you i was getting sick of reading through the mindless dribble that people where spewing that had no affect on the outcome i stopped trying to fix it when i realised it was out of my league to do so i hope something occurs soon but atleast there wont be any more allnighters looking through and trying random bits of bs that some kids thought might work caio

Just wondering why the thread I just made was locked so quickly - it wasn't demanding a patch, it was asking for information about what patches are likely given that they've figured out how the AP works, and also asking for info about the AP itself...
Seemed like something that would actually stop the goddamn spamming that those of us (and I've been reading the incessant noob crap here, among other forums, without adding my useless 2 cents until now) who just want some understanding of the AP itself and the direction any kind of fix will take, would appreciate. And it might shut up a few of those who feel the need to respond to every single "new HG/SS patch!!!!11one!" thread.
If there was a sticky that had some concise information, rather than this unwelcoming one that random pokéfan fuckwits will fail to understand and then ignore, your forum might get back to normal sooner.
Just a suggestion.

Uh Toni, any chance you could at least append to your first post in here some of the questions/answers I put down in that thread (INFO ONLY Pokemon HG/SS AP)? Some of us are genuinely interested and trying not to spam, and the lack of real information because of all the idiots is pretty frustrating. Also it's a good chance to at least cut out some of the totally oblivious who start a new thread without bothering with even the stickies.

Fair enough - any chance of your getting some extra info into the first post at least then? Not even looking at timeframes, just what the patchers are looking at doing, what cards will be supported etc. It's pretty annoying that the retards have made it impossible to get any real info from those doing the romhacks.
