Hi, I'm new here but I've been reading about this topic since the ROM was released. So from what I'm currently reading people have found out the source of the problem and are working on updating the firmwares to make it compatible with the flashcards? I don't have a NDS so I depend on no$gba, so will there be a patch so that it will be playable on it?

EDIT: Ok so from what I read from the poster above me there will be a patch which should be playable on the no$gba by Thursday correct? Thanks

Anyone can identify the problem, but to fix it is a completely different story. If they discovered the true problem then all we really can do is wait.

i dont know why people keep reporting that the no$gba is working properly other then the first black screen fix it still freezes at between 65-75 actions please stop reporting that there is a complete fix on it when there isnt i wouldnt still be trying to fix it if it worked

agreed, we don't need info we already know. Let's just be patient and wait for a fix.

It's already been said on here but it has something to do with flashcarts allowing the game to read below the 8000h mark, which a real game on a ds cannot do.

Akaio seems to emulate the denial to the -8000h range or some shit similar, which is why it's working so well.... but that's my guess.

Wasn't the 8000h theory proven wrong in this very thread? Even then it still freezes, but no where near as much as the other cards.

I've been loading my save file from the japanese version that has 6 badges fine by only activating 1 or 2 badges at a time, changing based on what hms i need at that point in time. With soft reset enabled saving every 20 events isn't that big of a deal but thats just me. I probably will get stuck once I need all 8 for the elite 4 though :/
I guess when they check the 8 badges, just upload your .sav file to play in DESMUME and pass the checkpoint, save
then you can go back to playing on the DS with 2 badges again!

btw what's with all the R4DS hate? It used to be one of the greatest flashcards..
and seriously it still is the best for me, it's still been able to play every single game I wanted to play to perfection. And i got it christmass 2006.
If it plays every game fine still.. what's to complain?

As many as possible until they start removing them. It might be here for about a week when it does...IF it does. Then it'll disappear from existence.

maybe because AKAIO only denies some of the values

its proven if you watch the game on in the debugger at address 2260334 there is a constant read at below 0x8000
at 0x1000,0x1200,0x1400
these are where the ap is believed to be found but it is impossible to override this with an ar code

yea i agree, every game i wanted to play for ds, i played all on r4
so don't count out the R4!!!!

AKAIO1.6RC run perfectly with no freezes and black screen in more than 10 hours.

We know... I've heard a couple of people have had one or two freezes using Akaio, although they're not sure if they bumped their console or not...

Stop rubbing it in.
