well i have tried goldeneye and it works really well, the only slowdown is when there are 3+ enemies in a small space

Does Conker's Bad Fur Day work?

damn u beat me to it
i hope it does

Some graphics microcodes aren’t supported in glN64, so a few games such as Conker´s BFD won’t work just yet.

Sepp256 is in progress of finishing the glN64 port and also is planning to start porting Rice’s N64 Graphics plugin which will vastly improve compatibility and graphical appearance once it’s complete.

Resume:

Porting Rice Video Plugin = Conker´s BFD and others just can work.

This may be a very generic post, but what you fellows (and any female contributors, if I missed them) are doing is amazing.

I know very little about emulation. I majored in Computer Science, but it was mostly software based and did very, very little with microcoding and the concepts related to hardware emulation and such. Every time a new article comes up regarding progress made on an emulator, or an in depth discussion on hackmii about concepts beyond my comprehension, I take the time to read about it.

The fact that you do what you do for fun, while living full lives filled with jobs, relationships, taxes, etc - really is incredible. I admire your passion, dedication, and achievement. Thank you for doing what you do and being such an inspiration to the rest of us.

Best of luck to you

I'm having problems using the Classic Controller, the analog stick doesn't seem to work at all, what could be causing this problem?
Same problem here. Are you also using the Classic Controller Pro?

Seems to be a lot of Goldeneye fans here...

I've been working through Goldeneye for the last few days on 'honey'
I'm up to the streets level (only agent so far lol)
This is what I've discovered:

Controls
-wiimote and nunchuk combination works rather well
-wiimote-only with motion control is clever but a bit tricky to use
-gamecube controller just makes me want an n64 controller adapter
Single Player
-not full speed but very playable.
-slowdowns with lots going on onscreen (enemies, explosions etc.)
-no unexpected errors/dumps as I work through the game (so far)
-no sky, as with many N64 emus (not a biggie)
-sfx a bit reverb-ish as with other n64 titles on 'honey'
-After all these years, natalya is STILL an annoying, sarcastic bitch who needs to learn to run faster

Muliplayer
-on two player, there is an epilepsy inducing white flicker on the top screen (any level)
-flickering aside, both players seem to be at speeds comparable to 1-player mode.
Emu' options
-sound off makes title screen animations real fast but not a massive difference to gameplay speed
-toggling fb textures on in two player mode stops the white flickering for player 1, but adds black flickering on textures for player two
frown.gif

Rom hacks/mods/variants
-no perceivable difference between big or little endian
-text/texture swapping works with no slowdown on original
-success with a few IPS patches I've applied (cheats etc.)

I know the WII64 team are rather against mods of their betas but I would love a team of GE64 nuts to get some game specific improvements on the go. If the flickering in multiplayer was fixed, it looks as though it would be on par with single player.
Does anyone with experience of GE modding know whether anything can be done with the rom to improve emulation speed? I've seen an IPS patch on Goldeneyevault which is said to improve its online performance on a pc emu, by removing music on multiplayer. Could anything else be stripped out/reduced to improve speed on WII64?

P.S. I could really do with some advice with respect to using GE Setup Editor, GE ROM Image Editor and other various GE64 tools. (yes I have read the guides and google is not my friend)

OKay I always loved the N64, in fact I still have my n64 collection, but dont have it set up. Most of games IMO have been surpassed or I could get in VC if I really wanted too (altho playing with the n64 controller is weird) but there is one game I know will never get remade or officially ported to VC and that is ROBOTRON 64. I love this game. Does this game play on Wii64? Anyone have any idea? I would install it just to kick some Robotron butt.
