just wanna help the poor guy who,regarding to the others who didn't get any answers 2 his question!

and instead he got some B***S**t

anyway back 2 the Question:what is a ARM7 fix

Answer: ARM7 fix is when you replace one file that is in the ROM with another, (the file is arm7.bin) it is to make that game work. And that is why it is called a Arm7 fix if u r u some NOOB

Example of an error (most common ) "Cannot access save data. Turn off the power and reinsert the DS Card."

THE HOW TO :yayds: :yayds:

First Step.

Download DSlazy

Second Step

Download arm7.bin

Download Microsoft.NET Framework (if you don't have it)

1.)
Create a folder called 'dslazy' extract the files from dslazy.zip to 'dslazy' folder.

2.)
Open dslazy.exe and click on ... navigate to your yourgame.nds.

3.)
Click the nds unpack button, this will create a folder called NDS_UNPACK.

4.)
extract arm7.zip then drag and drop arm7.bin into your NDS_UNPACK folder and click overwrite.

5.)
now click on the NDS packer on dslazy, add the filename and click save.

6.)
Now your done, copy the .nds to your r4 try it out.

by the way, can I do this with more games?
Like: I'm doing this with Magician's Quest right now...
Can I also do it with sonic the dark brotherhood? or do I have to install the whole thing again for each game that I want to do it for?

I've just read and followed the excellent tutorial by Dter ic for using the arm7 and dslazy fix to get around the problems with the R4. Mostly it worked, but I have done something wrong because when you try to play the game, there is sound but no video. Could you please tell me what I need to do to fix this. Thank you. I have posted this question in the forum pages as well, hope you dont mind

This still doesnt fix a very big problem. The cheats no longer can work. Please fix it

Cheats in the database are assigned to a specific game ID. When you apply an ARM7 patch to a ROM you change it's game ID. This is why cheats do not show up for patched games.

Use R4CCE to manually edit the game ID in the cheat database to match the game ID of patched game.

thought as much, but i didnt know you could edit the game ID like that =D
But how do i know what this patched game's ID is?

R4CCE has the ability to identify the game ID of a ROM.

Refer to Curleys R4CCE guide.

lol i figured it out. Sry for being so noob i didnt notice the "..." beside the game ID. Im new to R4CCE, i use to use "Code Editor" and it started sucking real bad. thanks for the help its greatly appreciated

Ugh i dont know what im doing wrong. I did everything right i even double checked..TWICE. the cheat option is still not showing up. i made a whole new game in the database for the english patched Arm7 JUS but its still not showing up. the game ID that i get is AJUJ 0D538A30 and yes i checked game enable

Edit: Also this patch does not allow users to go online =(
