@Dr. Clipper: Thanks a lot for your answer, it does make sense! Guess I'll just delete the non-English covers and remove the URL manually before trying again later on. Thanks!

@DGenerateKane: I'm terribly sorry, I didn't notice at ALL the "NTSC-U" at the top. My game is PAL, it didn't even cross my mind that cheat codes was region-based as well :/

That explains it, though! Will keep on looking for cheats in PAL for that game, then!

Thank you very much for the quick info, your eye is way better than mine ^^

Try these: http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php/topic,4987.0.html
Yeah, thanks a lot!

After a while I got them to work within the loader!
The cheats itself are kinda random, though. I tried the invincibility code to get past the first section after the save without shooting anything (one-hit kill code didn't work on "special" zombies), and it seemingly worked.
Then, after running through to grab a battery from another place, a zombie randomly appears and kills Rebecca, gah! Kinda buggy codes

But I'll get around. Only reason I wanted'em for was to get out of the fecking room I saved in, so I guess they're alright ;D Are the cheats buggy due to the loader itself, or is it the actual codes?

Regards!

Hi all
sorry if already respond

but how use lang file ?
Put the file you want into the /languages/ folder. is your Cfg's base directory, can be seen on the Global Options page of Cfg (press 1 twice) and will typically be sd:/usb-loader.

Then, add "translation=LANG" to config.txt where LANG is the name of the language file (which will be named LANG.lang).

E.g., to get an Italian translation, copy IT.lang to /languages/IT.lang and add "translation=IT" to config.txt.

FAT/NTFS support FAQ
Q: Is there any advantage using FAT/NTFS rather than a WBFS partition?
A: Depends on personal preference. These are some of the poins:
advantages:
- no need to repartition in case the disk is already used for other stuff
- the game files can be copied using normal file managers
- the partition space can be shared for other purposes
- better choice of file-system recovery / de-fragmentation tools
disadvantages:
- only cIOS 222/223 v4 can be used. FAT/NTFS using cIOS 249 is not supported.
- limited choice of loaders: only CFG and GX support FAT/NTFS at the moment.
similarities:
- loading speed should be approximately the same compared to WBFS
[/p]
May I ask what impact the bolded part has? ie Are there some games that only work properly with 249?

Thus far, I haven't heard of a single game that refused to work under Hermes's 222/223 cIOS (well...considering you make the right merges during the install). But the impact is pretty clear: CIOS 249 doesn't support games on FAT32 or NTFS*. It requires games to be on a WBFS-partition.

The version of CFG that isn't the "fat-version" still supports 249.

*currently, that is (rev17). It's hard to predict what Waninkoko will code in the future.

Alright thanks. Just bought a 500GB external and if I can keep it all as one NTFS partition with no major game compatibility issues then that's what I'll do.

Just to be clear, the "fat-version" still supports 249 as well, as long as you choose the WBFS partition via config.txt, settings.cfg or the global settings page.

Got it all working nicely from NTFS and set up a channel for it. Stupid question - why does my Wii's drive flash erratically while I'm in CFG?

With the support of Gamecube disc loading now, I hope this means that we could be able to rip GC games for use on Config USB Loader. Is it possible?

It sounds like you might have used Wii Backup Manager 0.3.4 and kept all partitions? Delete the file from the drive and transfer it again with 0.3.5. It was a little bug that's now fixed.. It only affected SSBB when keeping anything other than the game partition only.

Hi. It seems that I've got the 3d covers working, but how do I get it to load the full covers? None of those are loading! If I only put the full covers in the 'full' folder, the No Image png shows up for my games, but if I put some of the 3d covers in the '3d' folder, then it works. What do I need to change!? Help!!!

The full covers are only used in the coverflow GUI modes. In the GUI (push B if you have a list of games), push down on the d-pad to change the gui mode until you get to the coverflow types. You can also set the default GUI mode by changing the "gui_style" option in config.txt and/or setting.cfg.

Is it possible to support a titles.txt in Unicode so that Japanese titles could be used for Japanese games?
titles.txt in Unicode is already supported. It just uses a limited character set that does not contain the Asian fonts:
font_uni.png

The code for supporting TTF is too memory intensive to add at the moment, so that limits the abilities to display Japanese and Chinese titles. We could add Hiragana and Katakana using our current font system, but there's just too much Kanji to use the current method feasibly.

I pressed B and scrolled down with the D-pad. It went through several different styles and none of them showed the full covers. When i pressed up on the d-pad, it showed the back of the game, but still no covers...I'm confused.
