Didn't we have another release thread for this? And yeah, the NFO is Margot's Bepuzzled.

Anyway, it's not a "new" Monkey Ball, it's a remake/port (not sure which one) of the original Gamecube game with Wii specific support (meaning Balance Board and Wiimote motion controls, as well as classic analog control via nunchuck). It also has some new levels

This is the most fun Monkeyball game I've played. The added Balance board feature is great but difficult as hell. But this morning we played it and it was the first time in a long time that my family and I had such a super fun time with a game on the Wii. A lot of the mini games are very fun too. Especially the air gliding game where you have to land on the targets.

I would rate this game with an 7.5 because off course it's more of the same but the added balanceboard function and the fact that you'll have a hell of a time playing this with family or friends. And you can also play through the main game in co-op mode, where your partner gets to blast obstacles with a gun.

I'm sorry, but this simply isn't true by any stretch of the imagination.

1. It's not a remake/port of the original Gamegube game (I should know, since I actually own that one).
2. There's no option to control it via nunchuk.

It's obvious you've yet to actually play the game, probably skipped on reading any reviews of it as well, since all of this is made perfectly clear within seconds of playing/googling.

I misread something and I guess I'm wrong. But points to you for being incredibly rude instead of simply pointing out I was wrong. I guess common courtesy is not in your dictionary.

It's actually a new game. I'm not a big fan of the series myself, so I'll probably pass on it unless I really need something to play.

There are things i cant forgive this game for. Mainly that there is no option for the analog stick, and that you can't hold the wii remote horizontally (as oposed to vertically).

I doubt very much that anyone has even tried to finish this game with the balance board. As it's so fucking difficult.

Jesus Christ, are you for real? It WAS obvious you hadn't played the game nor read any reviews, I was merely stating - yes - the obvious. You're a person who's not interested in the series (which was obvious from the get-go), managed to get your "facts" completely wrong (in both this thread and the other one, effectively doing double the damage) - I corrected you accordingly. I can't really recall calling you an idiot, moron, twat et al for being misinforming - THAT, if ANYTHING, would've been rude.

I suggest getting a thicker skin, seeing as I don't dare to imagine how you'd react to a response that could be LEGITIMATELY construed as insulting. This is the internet - some twat is bound to correct you every once in a while; in a much, much harsher manner than I just did even. Bottom line: GROW A PAIR.

Now let's get on to something a bit more relevant, like the further discussion of the game contained within this thread. Over and out.

Yeah yeah yeah, you were still acting like a dick. Hold yer horses. No point arguing this with someone who obviously won't accept the fact that they were doing something wrong (unlike myself, who already admitted to being wrong

A review on IGN said the Balance Board isn't all that good, but it's still lots of fun with the Wiimote controls. Overall positive reviews, for anyone wondering.

For the longest time I thought this was some kind of super monkey ball spin off and was going to be similar to wii fit or ea active sports but with the monkeys. I was pleasantly surprised however when I booted up the game and saw it was another main entry in the super monkey ball line up. Fun game if you enjoyed the others monkey ball games I think you'll like this one as well I should note I've only played the single player mode I have not tried out any of the multiplayer mini/party games.

I won't even try. Anyone who's played the original Super Monkey Ball games just knows it's an insanely retarded idea to attempt playing it with the balance board, and since the series will probably not return to its roots until 2020 with "Super Monkey Ball 4", it's already dead to me.

And what about Ai-Ai's face on the cover, could it look any more stupid?

Well I played this with friends for about an hour.

- It's somewhat fun in coop
- Horrible irritating music
- Unskippable credits after each world, ugh not that again!
- Responsive controls, works quite well!

Agreed. Super Monkey Ball 1&2 were both great games that got very difficult if you tried. Ever since Banana Blitz's $50 disappointment, I've been ignoring SMB.

The balance board controls aren't too bad... but I want to find a way to manually control the camera while using the balance board, as I hate the 'automatic' camera. The 'unstoppable' credits at end of each world make me rage. Otherwise not too much has changed. I'll keep this installed on my USB hdd... but it's not a game that'll be played too much.
