Homebrew Homebrew and NTFS

Does Homebrew recognize an NTFS drive yet?

Right now I have 1 Fat32 partition with my HBC apps and my games for CFGUSB Loader, I'm thinking of going to NTFS when CFGUSB loader supports writting to it, but I don't want 2 partitions.

Hence my original question.

So you have a Fat32 drive with everything on it. Homebrew. Emulatorers, Roms & Wbfs files
why would you want to swap to NTFS i dont understand any advantage because MPlayerCE is the only homebrew app with NTFS support

I would want to switch to a single NTFS partition so I don't have to split games that are over 4 GB in size.

The reason for my question was to see if all my apps will run from HomeBrew on and NTFS partition, but from what it sounds like you are saying is that they won't.

NTFS isn't supported by most Homebrew Apps
Probably because libNTFS wasn't stable enough yet

The main advantage to me is that it can handle files over 4GB so no splitting.
Not a major thing to some people. but other only like 1 file per game so there is less clutter and stuff like that.

MplayerWii suports NTFS drives.

Do you convert your games to .wbfs files?
Most of those shouldn't be over 4GB

NTFS is much faster on large partitions, doesn't suffer as badly from fragmentation, the file size limit, and has a couple of nifty features like sparse file support. Sparse iso's are great. They take up the same room as .wbfs but look to apps like the full ISO so no need to convert to burn them. libfat also has a limit of 2gig a file instead of the 4gig of fat32 itself.

WiiXplorer supports NTFS too. But TBH it's useful having a fat32 partition about. I've a 20gig one at the begiinig of my HDD for homebrew and the PS3

Edit: As Wiimm says below. Maybe I shuld have mentioned I haven't used any libogc apps to write to my NTFS partition.

Never forget: NTFS is per definiton of the driver authors buggy and may destroy your files.
