This is my first post on GBAtemp. I've read the site for years but have never been prompted to join and post until now.
I have a very bizarre problem that I has racked my brain for a very long time now, and now I have no choice but to ask you guys for help.
So, here's the problem.
I got a LU39 Wii a while back, with the dreaded no backup drive.
I fully understand that Lu39s cannot be modded fully to run DVDR, but rather it can only be made to run USB Loaders.
So, I've done that. The LU39 is working just fine, it can run Homebrew Channel, and all the various loaders without a hitch.
I can run all games via USB Loader.
But, I have a very annoying problem. No Channel Forwarder for any loader works. I've tried the forwarder for everything from GX Loader, Gamma Loader, and various other USB Loaders.
But nothing works. I can only load my homebrews from the homebrew channel. Any attempt at loading a homebrew such as an USB Loader from the Wii Channel/Main Menu results in
a black screen of death. I've tried everything, but nothing will allow the LU39 Wii to load homebrews via the Wii Channel through a WAD forwarder.
It's quite a hassel to have to go into homebrew channel and scroll through all the homebrews to get to the USB Loader everytime.
This problem did not exist in my old Wii, a LU104 first gen.
Anyone with any ideas? Please help. So, the problem is Loaders work just fine, but can't be initiated from the Wii Channel Menu.
