Guys,

I understand you really want to see the new release.
fig2k4 is working hard on that.
the new layout is pretty slick and I am sure a lot of people will enjoy it..
I am pretty sure it will be out in a few days.
once again he is doing a great job trying to define the best possible gui...
and he is keeping his to-do list open.. so new features will appear in later version.

my 2 cents.. it is worth waiting for

could you easily ("quickly access") read the tmd from each iso ?
An additional useless info column with "required IOS" could be nice
tongue.gif

even if not used while launched with an USBloader, but it could help for people with modchip and burning DVDs without using trucha to identify the iso (I used a lot of trucha/IOS patcher when I burnt mines)
It could even be on the "File" tab for easy access/reading

Edit :
idea for version 1.0 (in very long time ?) or 2.0 (if you will release your next one as 1.0) :
Allow Backup Manager to fulfill all the other separated Wii tools functionality.
for example, inlude WiiGeneric Patcher, IOS Patcher, etc.
Patch error #1, error #2, error #2b (When found) (with a selection menu of .dol to patch from the iso, if alt. dol game)
Patch video
Patch languages
Wip Patch load/save
IOS patch

with all their respective "useless info columns"
tongue.gif
(I like this expression)
It will be a complete, all in one, backup manager, not only a copy to usb manager.

Though, let the replace file function to scrubber and trucha. Use only the patching tools for backup manager.

@fig2k4:

Don't get rushed by everyone...
Better a stable release then a nightly build full with undiscovered bugs.

I've upped Version 0.3.4.

Believe it or not, there's been a lot of internal code changes to the GUI.

There may or may not be some little quirks I haven't noticed yet. Let me know if you find anything that doesn't behave as expected..

Cheers.

@Cyan
I can easily read the IOS version from a Wii disc. I tested it and it works OK, but I don't always read the TMD, especially when reading the list of games on a drive etc. I think it would increase the mount time for drives with a lot of games quite drastically. I can only try and see..

If the IOS is only stored in the TMD, then it would be easy enough to patch, since it's not encypted. The other things, I'm not sure about yet because I've never looked into them. Also, it could be useful changing the title ID in the TMD, not just in the disc header. I'm sure that's needed to have different save slots for games?

Extracting the banner for CRAP was another idea someone mentioned before.

Where is the renaming function ?
Drive X ->Tools ->Game titles -> Rename all/selected
Or you can select to auto rename on transfer, in the settings.

The double click manual edit will hopefully be implemented as inline editing of the list cells in the next version.

BTW, I forgot to implement the drive list cache. Damn.. 2 things on the todo list already

I used the old version 0.3.3 to convert my games, is there a way to rename those games that is stored on the drive already?

Ahhhh.. I left in the line of code that reads the IOS version from the TMD. If the TMD is invalid, then it causes an exception, terminating the "add files" thread. I tested this to death as well, then messed it up at the last minute.

I'll up 0.3.4r2 in a minute. You'll only need to update if you are trying to load invalid ISOs.

Edit:
Here's 0.3.4r2. Let me know if that's OK.

@bnm81002
The renaming should work. Remember that renaming also applies the storage/naming convention, so make sure you select what you want in the settings. It's almost instantaneous to change though, so it's easy to try them all.
