Created this new thread to let all know that jskyboo has released a much improved version of DOP-IOS MOD 10.

He has very nicely added the latest multimod Wad Manager, signCheck and the ability to change priiloader settings all into DOP-IOS MOD 10. Also added are sanity checks and option to switch IOS easily.

Hope jskyboo can continue his enhancements in the new year.

jskyboo should really post his mod in new thread or continue here since its such a useful tool.

Extracted his post from some other thread that may help you all understand his motivation for his mod:

jskyboo said:
Long time lurker first time poster here with a bit of a surprise and I NEED testers. I too have been getting fed up with having to bounce around between a bunch of apps while working on my wii and so have decided to tweak Dop IOS Mod to have some of the functions I thought it needed and others had asked for. So I present to you yet another mod of Dop IOS mod.

Some of the things I've added(so far):
Wad Manager - I first started with Wad.Manager 1.5 Folder Mod3 by wiiNinja, but by the time I got anywhere with the program Leathl had modified it again to WAD Manager 1.5 Multimod. I have since rolled Leathl's changes into the one I added(although I haven't had the time to fully test his additions yet)

IOS Checks for Fakesign Bug, ES_Indentify, /dev/flash Access, USB2 Tree Access, boot2 Access(maybe), NAND Permssions, and a check to see if the IOS can get the System Menu Version and other data of the like. As well as outputting to a csv (sd:/dopiosmod.csv)

An update all IOSs option - please note I have not had the time to fully test this as im working with limited resources currently but it should work. Basically it tries to update all IOS that aren't stubbed and if they are it goes with the last build. It also let's you individually choose to add Fakesign Patch or yes to all or no to all.

Priiloader Hacks!! Ok so this basically tries to handle priiloader hacks about the same way priiloader does. I have tested this on my own wii but I am not sure how it acts on a wii that does not have priiloader installed yet so the outcome of that is currently unknown but I have a feeling it might work.

And a Switch to Priiloader option(magicword)

When I first started working on this Dop IOS Mod was at around rev 30 or so(not sure) I have since updated it to rev 40 but like Wad Manager I wasn't testing the new functions and so I have no idea if the TBR stuff is still working, but it should.

NOT FULLY TESTED YET!!! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

As this has some dangerous new features I can not stress it enough PLEASE DO NOT test this if you do not have bootmii installed to boot2 and a valid nand backup. If you are unsure about this at all please do not test it and let others find the bugs, otherwise this could brick your wii. If you are wondering why I have added priiloader hacks and not startpatch, it's only cause I have priiloader installed and could test it easily. I also haven't added in all the thanks to the Created by list soo for those involved with the programs this is based on: Dop IOS Mod, IOSCheck, signCheck, sysCheck, Priiloader, and Wad Manager Multimod, thanks this couldn't have been made without you.

So here is the link to a compiled version of my mod with the source included. Please test it out if you have a good nand backup and help me find bugs. Also I plan to add some more functions after the new year.

For reference this is jskyboo's last quote (again in another thread). This has the same download link as in my first post, looking forward to his next version...

Wad Manager Multimod has released a new version 3 so I've merged the new fixes into my mod of DOP IOS mod, this should fix most of the issues people were having with the wad manager. I've added a sanity check before letting the user try to use an incompatible IOS with wad manager. I've also added a Change IOS option so if you have loaded the app with an IOS that won't let you use wad manager or change the priiloader hacks you don't have to restart the app. This will probably be my last release before the new year, im about to head out of town for a few days but when I get back I plan to fix more bugs in the code.

properly Lazycus is right...

But maybe you should get a member of the dop-os MOD Team and commit your changes to the SVN.
What about getting in contact with Arikado ?

his google code email adress is [email protected]
Would be nice to see you team up.
Not going to happen.

His modification includes code from applications which themselves are broken. His modification also hopes to eventually have the ability to install warez (I'm under the impression that it doesn't work right now). According to comments, the majority of his application (everything except for signcheck and our stuff) doesn't work. So why would we want this merged into our version?

The only thing I'm envious of is that he got signcheck working. But Lunatik fixed my signcheck implementation yesterday and will commit the working version later today.

In short, we're not missing out on anything. We'll also be adding new features into Dop-IOS MOD (which his version won't have until he copy/pastes us again) as soon as possible.

It works great here, I have personally tested it and found it a very nicely integrated all-in-1 app.

Thats why I was impressed enough to open a thread to let others know about this little gem, which is surprisingly very stable for a newcomer release.

Since jskyboo is seeking feedback, its best to post all your findings here so he can further improve on it.

You have tested ALL features ? Or, only some of them ?

would have been better to merged wad manager GUI instead of the multi-mod cause GUI version has the same features (batch install) plus the addition of SMB share feature here's the googlecode page http://code.google.com/p/wadmanager-gui/

tried it earlier today. It couldn't read the files from my Hard drive (it works with original wad manager, and wiininja's mod)

SMB? I didn't think Wad manager mod by Leathl could do SMB yet... it was just the GUI version...

My request for future MODS of MODS: Settings file that remembers things like the IOS you want to use and the various Signcheck settings. I would also love a Disclaimer-free version that takes you RIGHT to the Menu screen... Maybe I am asking too much! Thank you! It works pretty well for me!

QUOTE(longtom1 @ Jan 2 2010, 09:33 AM) TBR process from sd card doesn't work but neither does dop-ios v10.1

TBR works on my re-virginized Wii although its not a true LU64 model.

Hey everyone I am finally back from the break. Apparently in my absence there has been concern that my mod "hopes to eventually have the ability to install warez". I have not ever talked with anyone of my plans for this program, that includes Arikado. I in fact do not even know what I have planned for this program yet and that is why I add what people on these boards ask for. I have no idea why Arikado thinks I have plans to install warez but that just makes me wonder what he considers warez.

But anyways I said I would be back to fix more bugs and I have a new version. Updates since 7 include: merged to dopiosmod rev79, fixed a problem with checkios; it was checking the list of ioses that dop-ios can install it is now correct, reworked a bit of the priiloader code, added config options for checkios, outputios, printiosdetails, and skipdisclaimer to the wadmanager config file (sd:/wad/wm_config.txt); simply set them to 1 to turn them on or skip the disclaimer(skipdisclaimer=1), some bug fixes. Like always use caution this program can brick your wii.

The GP Dop-IOS Mod has a much simplified procedure for Restoring Trucha Bug. This is really really helpful. Is it possible to implement this part ?

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha

@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
