Very early in progress, give me about a year and it should be complete. There's tons and tons of dialogue. Hopefully someone will come through and make an editor. I've already posted the control codes elsewhere.

It's not much, but yeah, I just started it.

I love how all this awesome stuff is getting translated when my DS is totaled.
Do you seriously think all those translations will be finished in a week or something? Most of them take more than 6 months, even more posibly over a year to complete.. save up some money and send your DS to big N, takes about 3 weeks until you get your new DS..

Well guess what? You are a jerk. Why don't you ask that question again after you've attempted to translate a game? Then you'll realize that finishing a hack is more than about translating. Seriously though, the world needs less ignorant people like yourself.

Anyway, I guess I'll be first to give praise and say good luck on it. I've never heard of this game but it's always nice to see someone tackling a translation, especially yourself.

Looks like an adventure game, and if it is, yeah, that's a ton of dialogue. Good luck!

Hmm, if I had time to check I would, but does the game use NFTR fonts? If it does, then NFTRedit will easily fix that huge font and wide spacing issues. Not only will it look prettier, but you'll be able to fit more text.

Yep, it uses NFTR. But I'd still need a text editor able to repoint stuff. Haha, unfortunately people will jump on stuff like Coropata, but it's difficult to find someone interested in making a text editor for these types of games. Unlike Doki Doki Majo Shinpan 2, it uses pointers and doesn't use as many control codes. Therefore, making a text editor will probably be a lot easier.

Well lol knowing this forum I'm probably not going to get anyone interested in doing a text editor, oh well. It'll just take longer to finish the project.

As much as I agree with this post, I will still encourage you to do your best on this. I have nothing but respect for your work.

Also, don't let the trolls affect your work. By stopping your translation on HG/SS you let the trolls win. just sayin.

I followed that thread (lurking, with interest) from the "get-go" - it wasn't the so-called trolls (and I'm not convinced half were trolling at all), more so the "demons within"

I would never, ever doubt translating a rom is difficult at the best of times....but to keep taking on new ones, especially after recently committing towards another project, seems a bit bizarre. This board has been pretty accustomed to projects being finalised to a point where they can be played & enjoyed by English speaking territories. As of recent months (ie. since HG & SS JAP release) the forum has been bombarded by threads like this - which I may one day be corrected

, but genuinely doubt will ever come to fruition.

This may be a bitter pill to swallow for OP, but that's my thoughts and probably a high percentage of other users here....sorry.

Well that's your opinion, ignorant or not. You can't speak for everyone on the forum, so stop doing it. Why not instead of criticizing me you go out and find me a programmer who's interested in making a text editor? Afterall, if I had a text editor, Doki Doki Majo Shinpan 2 would've eventually gotten finished.

But in a forum we're programmers will only do projects that 'interest' them, some translations will unfortunately be doomed because of the lack of interested programmers.

Hi. I think I already said this (could've been at someone else's topic, idk), but I really recommend you use general text extraction and insertion tools like romjuice and atlas. Depending on other people sucks. It's better you learn how to use these tools and get things rolling yourself. It's not hard to learn, trust me

It has nothing to do with extraction, it has to do with text editing. I can extract and insert the text just fine without a text editor.

And lol it really doesn't help the community when you have people like Noitora who brag about having tools but are jerks about giving them out.

I don't know this game, couldn't find any gameplay videos either, but translations are always good.
I wish you good luck on this one, I'd gladly make a tool for you if I could, but I'm sorry to say that my coding is quite bad.

You don't need text editing tools. All you need is Notepad and the tools!
If you do it right, atlas will compute all the pointers and do the inserting for you. All you need to do is write your text in txt files appropiately. You don't need fancy text editors.
