Oh, really?
IIRC:
The Wii is an upgraded GameCube, with the chips clocked 150% as fast as the GC and extra hardware like the 3rd SD card slot (GameCube memory cards are really SD cards in a differant case) and WiFi, Bluetooth, the NAND, and all of the Wii's extra features. When a Wii boots a Wii game or WiiWare/Virtual Console/Wii Channel, it launches in the full Wii mode, with full hardware access. When a Wii launches a GameCube game, it boots in a "compatibility" mode with access to only the hardware the origional GameCube had.
The DSi is an upgraded DS, with the main CPU clocked twice as fast and extra hardware like the SD card slot, WPA2, the camera, the brighter backlight, the NAND, and all of the DSi's extra features. When a DSi launches a DSi Enhanced, DSi Exclusave, or DSiWare title, it launches in the full DSi mode, with full hardware access. When a DSi launches a DS game, it boots in a "compatibility" mode with access to only the hardware the origional DS had.
Get the point?
