wbfs_file 2.6 OSX
wbfs_file_2.6_osx_win32.zip
(included sources, OS X and windows binary)

Tried using it on a Powermac G5 Dual on 10.5.6 and getting the following:
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libcrypto.0.9.8.dylib

Apparently this file does not exist in /usr/lib
only libcrypto.0.9.7.dylib and libcrypto.0.9.dylib exist in that folder

Any help appreciated.
Cheers
Pipi
You'll need to update your libcrypto, e.g. using macports. Or just get the file from the net and place it in the folder.

Now with version 2.6, I plan on just redoing my .wbfs files that were created with a version prior to 2.0. I am going to copy them all over and convert them back to ISO, and then convert them back to .wbfs. I plan on keeping the FAT32 format for now since the other homebrew hasn't caught up. Do I need any special flags or should the program include all the new functionality in the default run? Are there some commands that would be smart to use in case I converted to NTFS later?

Hello,

I copy here the same question i made on the usb loader gx topic, someone might have the answer here as the problem impacts both loaders for me

I have been using usb loader gx for some weeks now, and today i realized there was NTFS Support, so i formatted my 8Go USB Key (NTFS), but now when i try to instal a game in the key thru the loader (button "+"), the system crashes.

I tried yith CFG usb loader, and it says the partition NTFS is 7.45 GB. and there is 0.00 free space, even if there is nothing on it.

Is it a known issue, or is it only me, i didnt find anything about this.

Thanks

Question. Why are you converting .wbfs back to .iso and then to .wbfs again?

NTFS is read-only. You can't install games from the Wii using NTFS.

Umm there isn't any reason to do that. wbfs_file had no changes related to .wbfs files on FAT in the past many versions.
The sparse and fragmentation prevention apply mostly to NTFS. I think fragmentation was not such an issue on FAT because it doesn't support sparse files anyway. But you are re-converting because you're worried about fragmentation then I suggest first checking if the files are really fragmented (just run windows defrag tool) and if so, either just copy them to a different disk, delete and copy back or run a windows defrag utility or something. When files are copied using windows explorer they will not be fragmented.

Is there a better way to convert them to .wbfs with the non-fragmentation and such? I'm rather new to this, if it's a waste of time, then better to know before I do it! =)

what file system type are you using on your usb? Ad card? File type (wbfs / iso / other)? If you are not using a wbfs partition, what's the full path to the files you are trying to load? Cfg loader seems to be a stickler for making sure the file name matches the ID6.

using SD card formatted as FAT32 using .wbfs files, i tried having the files stored in sub-directories and also without sub-directories. Using a usb hard drive and the same settings (fat32 and .wbfs files) it worked
