I'll wait for the NA version simply due to size. While it's cool that the European version is out already, I only have a 256mb flashcard so the extra size is not something I want to deal with.

God I so want to play this game but I'm having extreme problems with it...along with some other games.

Here's the situation.

I load up LittleWriter, and I try to drag and drop Kirby into the GUI but it just gives a buffer overrun error.

I try using Pogoshell to flash it onto the first 256 of my XRom, but it doesn't let me.

I tried using Costello's XRom Flasher, but it just flat out refuses to let me even flash the game.

Tried to sram patch, but it didn't need it.

So yeah, how the hell am I going to get this on my XRom?????

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Nice...shame most people played this already (except the 'I hate Japanese games' people of course...heh).
Yeah! Take that you morons, for liking to play games that you can actually understand!

And that goes doubly for those of you whom like to watch television shows and read books written in your own language too! What is wrong with you all?!?

To those of you who played the Japanese release of a game that will without a doubt be released in English, you should learn the word "patience". The game s much better the fist time in English, if that is your native tounge.

To all who have played this wonderful, KICK ASS KIRBY release, I have one question I would really like to know the answer to... What the fuck are those little "mirror monsters" or whatever that are usually backed up against a wall, then burrow underground?? o_0? I've tried killing the bastards, but that doesn't work. They don't affect my life either... I would be very thankful of someone would share their wisdom of this game, Japanese version players or not.

Thank you for your time in reading this post.

(Also, to all of you out out there that have never played, or wasn't planning on it because "I've played the NES version" etc... YOU REALLY NEED TO TRY THIS ONE, Hal did a brilliant job in creating new foes and a neat little "Kirby system" not much unlike that found in The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past (The Four Swords) when you play multiplayer mode.)

Actually Hal did not make this Kirby, Flagship was the developer (the same guys that made Four Swords and such).
And this is the best Kirby after Kirby Super Star, they should make a KSS part 2... that would really rule.

Try to come near them while holding air, like if you would fly to somewhere, but just drop to the ground instead (if you go to the mirror enemies in this form they don't seem to note you're nearby and won't run away), and press the attack button so Kirby will spit the air out, thus hitting the enemy and there you have: a brand new mirror-door

First off, I even do prefer taking the japanese games over the north american ones or whatever ones, that's because sometimes they get horrible changes, censor, dubbing, etc etc...
Second, a game like Kirby just don't need to be 'understandable', I play Kirby games over and over because they're fun, not for any storyline (and besides, it will be wonderful to get the chance of starting again this particular game, because it's so nice

).
Third... I would love to play games in portuguese, even if I do understand english perfectly, just for the sake of it, but they're like never released oficially

That's why I love to do translations myself and do encourage other groups who make 'homemade' translations

It's on the SNES. The game consists of various games in one cart.
One of those games is a remix of the first Kirby ever (Kirby's Dreamland GB), another game is called the Great Cave Offensive where you must find like 50 treasures in cave, you fight some bosses rpg style and the whole level is like metroid/cv:sotn.
There is one called Revenge of Metaknight, where you have to go through Metaknights ship while his lackeys try to stop you.
Another game is called Milky Way Wishes where you go to diferent stars or planets in a map and try to find all the powerups (and keep them too in a menu and select them all whenever you want), you face a boss in a gradius space shooter style and plenty of other things.

In short Kirby Super Star is great, it mixes a lot of game styles into one kirby cart orgy.
It has great graphics, TONS of powerups, lots of moves, GREAT music (Gourmet Race music rules), a LOT of replay value and much more.
