I bought my son a DSi for xmas; he's been sporting a regular DS and a DSTT for awhile.

I tried copying his save file from New Super Mario Bros from the DSTT and put it on the M3i, but the M3i "doesn't see it."

My Google skills are weak; I can't find anything that says DSTT saves won't work on the M3i.

I know the M3i I bought is a "knockoff"... but all the ROMS we have seem to play fine.

Any suggestions?

FYI, the save that the M3i creates works fine. ( All games without saves from the DSTT work on the M3i ... and the M3i happily creates new saves.)

The DSTT file is 512kb, and the M3i is 512kb.

Both file names are identical in case and extension.

That's funny, because I just made the exact transition myself, and it worked fine. o_o
Are you sure the saves and the roms are in the same folder, with the same filenames? D:

If that still doesn't work, ensure you have the latest system files.

Darn.

The card I have I got from DealXtreme, and it's the http://m3isdhc.com/

The save file the M3i created I named "m3iNewSuperMarioBros.SAV", and then copied the DSTT copy back on the card in the same folder. (Everything is at the root.)

Comes up as no save.

I copied the "m3i" file name back to "NewSuperMarioBros.SAV" and it works again... albeit with the minimal save data he's created.

/scratches head.

:/ Darn fakes!
Hmmm, instead of checking to see if you have the latest system files, try an older revision.
I'm using one of the earliest versions, and everything is working fine for me so far. :3
