ROM Hack Love Plus Translation.

Well, for the last week i'v been attempting a little project to translate all the dialogue of Love Plus, so far i'v done about 1.5% (That's how much text there is.) I don't plan on doing any patches for it myself, which is why i need someone who i can give the script file to so they can repack it and create a patch for it and release it to the public, I'm not planning to have anything released until i'm at least 20% through. Bear in mind, this is my first ever attempt at text translating, and it's completely from Google, I am of course attempting to at least brush the text up so it makes more sense than the text given out from Google Translator, been as i know next to nothing, well, nothing at all about Kanji, if anyone would be willing to help me translate to get a better, more accurate translation, that would be nice, if not, fine. So If anyone is interested in making patches out of the dumped script files i have, or willing to help with the translation (In any way.) hit me up in PM. I'll leave you for now with some screens to prove i'm actually working on this.

This is the original one, straight from Google, as you can see it's barely understandable.

And this is an attempt to brush it up, just guessing and trying to fit in what most likely what they would be saying.

Yes, i know there is a team already hard-working on this but this is MY little project and you don't have to use it.
And yes, before you ask, i'm a perv.

EDIT: If anyone could teach me how to repack the script into the ROM and teach me how to dump text files i would be eternally grateful

What inspired you to choose this game, luke_c, when there are many other great Japanese games that can be translated?

The other Love Plus translation has not been worked on for a while now, if you look, its been on 80% for a while...

Good Luck with this, I wouldnt mind helping out with any translating if need be, and I'll have a look into patching, I think you have to edit it into the game before you can make a patch but I cant remember.

As i said, anything would probably be better than my Google version, and the thing is, i have no idea how to get the script back into whatever format to repack into the ROM, i know how to actually create the patch using xdelta's GUI, the only problem is repacking this 900 odd text files into the format needed, if you're willing to help with the translation you can hit me up in PM.
EDIT: Alright, looks like i'll have to wait for tsukuru's re-packer so i can repack the text files.

Wow, no one interested in this? That's a surprise, I'll be continuing regardless, once the re-packer gets uploaded I'll attempt to make some Patch releases.

Yeah lol sucks, but unfortunately this is how projects die, when no programmers want to help translators. On the flip side though projects die when no translators want to help programmers

unfortunately i will have to disagree... google translate is far too unnacurate, even if tou try to do a small fix on it, if you don't understand what you're fixing, tre result will surely be even worse than google

That's why i'v been editing it so it makes sense more than the Google translation, it won't be completely accurate, but it'll be understandable and fun to play, that's what counts.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I fall in on the matter. I just want to know the gist of what's going on. I don't mind jumbled Engrish, and I surely appreciate the time and effort you're willing to put in with the game/sim. Not sure I'll get much out of this particular title, but I'm curious to see what it's all about. The Japanese sure seem to be ga-ga over it.

i think this is awesome because i want to play this really bad and the tl wiki translation beta probably wont be released until it is basically done. i just want at least a slight idea of whats going on without having my laptop on "http://sites.google.com/site/loveplusguide/home" all the time.

Just out of interest, how much of this game is dialogue? Are there minigames at all or anything like that? I havent played the game but I would think a dating sim would have a shitload of dialogue, which would kind of make a google translation of this game a pretty good challenge, you would have to go back and polish almost every line of translated text because the text is much more important in this game compared to say pokemon, where you can pretty much figure out most of the game without reading..

Not flaming or trying to discourage you, just think that this game still wouldn't be playable even with a dodgy engrish translation

A very small Minigame *kind-of* at the second part of the game (when you become a couple with a girl)
But the dialog is the only thing of this game... So google translate let's say noooo... (If it is readable ok, but not engrish XD)
