So im safe if i update from 1.44 second edition now my saves will be alright?

Yes, your saves will be alright because you make a backup before putting the updated firmware on it.

My Zelda save from my AK2i works fine. For those interested Zelda cheats now work.

The DSi only game loads with a warning screen that its only for a DSi.

DSi enhanced games work in non DSi mode

Heroes of might and magic works.

DSi enhanced games now show a proper icon for the game

Not sure if these were all fixed in this version as I havent updated in a while..

My old LoZ:ST sav file is working perfectly on M3 Sakura 1.45x firmware.

I think the problem others are having is that they used the "hacked" sav file that was uploaded for others to use. but that sav file is also a incorrect file size. LoZ:ST uses a 1MB sav file.

Not really: even clean rom has the problem
I never used a hacked version of zelda and it was working fine with 1.44 3rd revision (water temple already passed).
1.45 system update completely deleted my save game

I created a software app that will pad a file to the size of your choosing by inserting bytes of value 00. I did that to my "hacked" save file and it will still load in DeSmuME but I don't have access to my cart at the moment... can someone do some testing for me with either the application or the save file itself? I will upload shortly.

EDIT:
File Padder (.NET Framework 3.5 Required)
My Spirit Tracks Save Padded to 1MB

Let me know how it works, thanks!

NOTE: MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE PADDING A FILE, IT DOES NOT DO THIS FOR YOU!

Restore the old saves (I hope you back up) for the games that use 512kb. For me worked for some games. Also Densetsu tried 100 Classik Books again. Now downloaded all books and the game ca't start at all with white screen. I didn't do the corrupted save file and delete some books. Hooray new save file method new bugs to come up. Sorry but this week I'm the most pessimist guy regarding M3

You misunderstood me. I was using the Clean rom and a blank 1MB sav file I made my self to start LoZ:ST, while most others used the clean rom and a 979 KB sav file they downloaded called a hacked sav file.

I just loaded a 979 KB sav file I made with desmume (that is where the hacked sav file came from). When I launched it with M3 Sakura 1.45 there was a beep and a message about an automatic sav file conversion. when it was finished, the game booted but all the sav data was gone. When I loaded my self mad 1 MB file on 1.45 for the first time, there was no beep, no auto sav file conversion message, and the save data was not deleted.

Its not working. I open the 979 KB hacked sav file. I type in the length to be 1048576 in the lenghth box, but the resulting fie is 1048128 KBs.

Use bytesadder.. thanks to this app my hacked save file now has the correct byte size and sakura 1.45 dont crash my save file anymore..

Add 45382 bytes to the hacked save file and now your save file will rise to 1,048,576 bytes that is the correct size of 1 MB. Hope this helps

But does RTS work with 1.45 Revised?

With games where it usually worked since i heard that 1.44 3rd broke RTS.

Hmmm it worked when I did it, tested it again with my 979KB save file and it worked just fine, weird... and it worked on Sakura as well by doing that so problem solved for me!

well, the file size on disk was 1048576, maybe sakura checks that for the file size, I never tested the 1048128 file on sakura

RTS works with 1.45 except for Spirit Tracks. I have tested it with just one game, however.

i can confirm that your program works my friend.. loaded my 979kb sav file, inputted 1,048,576 in the length text box, pressed ok and "operation successful" message popped up.. when i tried it on my M3 Sakura with 1.45x, my LoZ: ST save game is there and works like the way it should be.. thanks a bunch buddy..

Easiest way to "convert" your save is to put the new sakura on and boot it in touchpad (hold a while booting), load zour zelda game and save, after that reboot again in sakura and your should be fine.
