In other topic about microphones ( http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=188636&st=15 ) I and some more people was wondering about how to make our own custom sing it.

Well, does anybody know about an english tutorial about this? All we have until now is a german website ( http://projekt-singitstar.forumieren.com/ ) and I really cant undertand nothing there. lol

Karaokii (HomeBrew app) may do what you're looking for. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Karaokii
You can add .ogg sound files, creae/edit you're own lyrics, use existing lyrics files from other karaoke apps.

tbh by the time youve downloaded all of their discs, your looking at a dozen discs or so and hundreds of songs, more than enough for pretty much any wiff karaoke fan

I have the singstar mics. Does anyone know if they work with this project? I cant understand anything from the german guys or google translate.
If someone has any clue, please post a link to dealextreme or anotehr e-shop with confirmed working mics

SingStar mics won't work. But usb mics for other games for Wii will work. But that's still very expensive. If somebody knows a cheap alternative, i'm interested.

try to look sale of mic-included games, old ones like high school musical (I know the game is crap, but at least in Brazil is cheaper than by the mike alone)

I think the cheapest configuration is following at this time : http://www.amazon.de/We-Sing-inkl-2-Mikrof...8501&sr=8-1

the important thing is that you need a logitech vantage microphone - other mics would not work!
the second - you will need a hub! This can be a game of chance! There is an logitech hub which is 100% compatible (i have too), but it`s very expensive! -> http://www.amazon.de/Logitech-Premium-4-Po...8879&sr=8-1
^^it can be, that other hubs will work, too...

I successfully tested this hub:

I don't think there are special requirements for the hub, it just has to work the way it should and not some proprietary way.

Guys, am I sorry for bringing this thread up to life again, but I have a basic question which I believe doesn't deserve a thread of its own.

I have a PAL Wii with the official 4.3E update installed. I also have the HBC 1.1.0 installed and BootMii as IOS (I own 2009 black wii :( ) and not any other softmod whatsoever.

What do I actually need to do in order to make these custom SingItStar games work? And how can I do it without taking any unecessary risks?
