@pepxl
It's one of those things that'll take seconds to implement when I do it too. That's the problem though, it's so simple that I keep putting it to the side thinking that "it'll only take seconds, I'll do it later". I'll force myself to get it done soon.

@dun4cheap
I know you asked before.

I will get the select "Items not in folder" done. See the comment to pepxl..

I cannot remove (erase) 95% of my games from a fat32 HD using this manager, I am having to delete this manually. This was a problem in a past version, but it was fixed... now I am having the same problem again....

EDIT: i think one of my games must have been locked (in use by a dif program, or this program somehow), and instead of skipping it and removing all the others, it just stopped there

@Fig

No problem, I thought I read it was implemented in the change log already which is why I questioned it. Maybe I read it wrong. I will keep looking for it.

Thanks,

Thanks for testing that, I'll look into it just now.

Also, I didn't think to take into account that multi-volume RAR files would be using the newer naming convention. ie *.part01.rar, *.part02.rar...

Has this been fixed?

fig2k4 - I have some good news / feedback for you, using the 0.3.1 beta today I transferred 127 games from ciso format on an NTFS drive to wbfs files on a fat32 drive. It ran for 4 hours with no problems at all. I did notice that the processing order was from smallest to largest file.

Can you mount a WBFS drive ?

fig2k: just had the integer overflow bug again, using the latest version you sent me...

btw you should probably get some kind of issue tracker, google code or something, would imho be much easier for both you and us testers...

p.s.: how's your child? alright again?

Here's a quick fix for that. Ironically, I caused this tracking down a bug. I just forgot to change something back to the way it was.

It must be a different integer overflow because I reverted to the old transfer method that doesn't use the code I fixed the integer overflow in. If that makes sense.

I'll have a look through it tonight. Can you tell me exactly what you were doing when it happened? The file system transferring from/to, where in the transfer it happened, the size of the game. etc.

I set up MediaWiki a while ago, with the intent of building up some documentation etc. which never happened. I'm going to look into integrating something like Mantis, to track bugs. The whole site could be quite useful for a lot of things.

@ fig2k4, what does WiiBackupManager031beta2-test2 actually fix? mounting wbfs drives???

But I successfully mounted a wbfs drive before this fix....??? (I left my pc running when I left for work this morning, transfering 80 games from wbfs to fat32, we'll see how it turned out when I get home, but it was working fine for the first 20 minutes at least)

I can now format and mount the WBFS drive. However, I cannot transfer games into it. The log shows Error reading disc.

Quite frustrating.

I think we should first focus on the foundation again :

- Basic Transfers
- NO MD5 code
- NO CISO support

I am now looking for a version which can do the following :

ISO -> .wbfs file -> WBFS drive -> .wbfs file

PS1 The two .wbfs files created are exactly (hex) the same as that created by wbfs_file.exe. (i.e. No MD5 code)
PS2 No Transfer Interruption

Does such a version ever exist ?

Um can Wii Backup Manager using latest beta sparse iso files? Really need the extra space
Thanks in Advance.

Also can Configurable USB run the sparse isos (Really only want to use this one due to compatibility and simply because its awsome.)

All ISOs written by WBM are sparse files, yes.

I need to optimise the sparse ISO files, like oggzee mentioned a few pages back. But they should still work, since oggzee increased the number of fragments supported on NTFS.

How about you send me some info, instead of having a little tantrum. It is, after all, why I have the log.

fig,

Thanks for all your work again. Would you be able to add a small feature (I hope).

I would like to have the "Select" menu on Drive1/2 allow you to "Select all Titles Not in the Files List".

And then be able to "Transfer" the selected items to WBFS files. (I think it does this already)

This would be very awesome in helping me to update my folder of games from other backup drives.

Thanks again for a great program.

Jason

That sounds similar to select "Items not in folder" that was requested dun4cheap. It may actually be better to use the file list though, since you can load files from multiple sources into the file list, instead of just checking against the contents of 1 folder.

It's much easier to implement too, since I can just use the lists already loaded to compare.

The last beta before the test 2 version seems ok. But with direct conversion from multi-part rar archives. It sometimes tends to crash with an "integer overflow" error when I try to select a few games for conversion.

You should update the 360 to newest dash before RGHing it yes. But not a big deal if you don't, you can install new dash/avatar updates after. It's just easier to do it auto online before, instead manual offline after.

@BigOnYa I wanted to ask you about your experience with seeing south park. Most of the people a bit younger like my younger brother and cousins that are a few younger than me that saw kids found south park funny because of the curse words, kids at school, that seemed like liking the show on a very basic level.

I could not quite have a in depth discussion of the show.

How was it for you? As an adult. What did you find the most interesting part about it. Did you relate to the parents of the kids and their situations. Was it satires, the commentary on society. The references on celebrities' and pop culture.

I remember seeing the very first episode back in the day, and have watched every episode since. I used to set my VCR to record them even, shows how long ago.

I just like any comedies really, and cartoons have always been a favorite of mine. Family guy, American Dad, Futurama, Cleveland Show, Simpsons - I like them all.

South Park is great cause they always touch on relavent issues going on today, and make something funny out of it.

@BigOnYa were you always up to date on the current events and issues of the time or were there issues that you first found out thru south park
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Most of the time yea I knew, I watch and read the news regularly, but sometimes the Hollywood BS stuff, like concerning actors slip by me. I don't follow most Hollywood BS (example: the Kardasians)

  • S @ salazarcosplay:
@BigOnYa there were relevant issues before south park was made, that's why i think a south park prequel/spinoff would be great. Randy and his friends in their child hood

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, like them running in high school together, getting into stuff, and how they got hitched and had kids. And how the town of South Park was back then compared to now. That would be cool to see.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@salazarcosplay if they made a prequel, it would still be about current issues, cause it doesn't make sense to make it about stuff that happened 30 years ago that nobody cares about anymore
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's too late
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the older south park episodes about particular issues usually age poorly since the topic is no longer relevant

an exception is giant douche vs turd sandwich, that's always relevant :P
