ok so now when I play the game I can play for 1-20 minutes and it will give me the error "Disc cannot be read please read Wii Manual". It was random when it happens but now its right before the games menu still showing the title. So it goes into the game but then stops reading it? Do I have a bad iso or what.

HELP ME BEFORE I THROW MY WII THROUGH THE WINDOW
Everytime i try to install any wad (NTSC and PAL) my wii freeze and I have to take out the alimentation to restart. So before I throw my wiimote to the screen I thought to ask to you.
I really, really dunno what to do.
I installed my HBC back in the days with the twilight fix, I'm using bootmii, my HBC ver. is 1.0.6 IOS35, trucha bug installed, IOS249 installed through cIOS_INSTALLER, I'm using wad manager V1.3.
Also from system information of my wii it says I'm on ver 3.2E

Btw I can play every disc game of any region just fine.
Use Wad Manager 1.4 set to IOS249

QUOTE(bnwchbammer @ Dec 12 2009, 08:34 AM) Alright, I guess a minorly nooby question here. My Wii is not letting me install the HBC .6 for some reason... Says no known vulnerable IOS. Hmmm... Well, I have it on my Wii already, but I'm worried about if something messes up and I need a newer version. Check the sig for stats. Used the "simple" tutorial stickied here in the Wii hacking place.
Your problem is cIOSCORP. What you need to do is use DOP-IOS MOD to install the latest IOS36

hi!

i have a new 4.2 wii, bootmi as IOS, using USB loader/HDD. I don't plan on running much apps/homebrew apart from games.

From what i understand i should get pre/priiloader for brick protection. BUT i have also heard that priiloader installation is only 90% safe. On other forums people advise to just use StarPatch in order to get the system hack, explaining that if i only use the wii to actually play games from a HDD there was a higher risk of me bricking my wii by installing pre/priiloader than by running games.

So basically the question is: priiloader or not? also, if yes, which is the safest version so far ? (remember: i only have bootmii as IOS and my wii is not brick-proof so far)

thanks!

I've hacked my wii, following the modifying 4.2 wii guide. I can play backups, homebrew, etc.

I'm wondering if there's a place i can download wii ware and play it on the hacked wii.

Ok but... I think I'm kinda missing something.
So I downloaded Wad Manager 1.4 from the download/filetrip section, I unrar the .dol in a new directory placed in the apps directory in the SD.
So, what next? From my HBC doesn't appear any new application... o.o

Can someone please explain to me how I can play Brawl on my softmodded Wii?

Using the latest version of NeoGamma. I burn it on to a Dual-Layered disk and everything, but I get disc read error.
I've burnt it multiple times. Four to be exact. I get the same error with each.

What do I need to do to get Brawl to work? Any certain files I need installed on my Wii?

Also, I am currently "obtaining" Wii Sports Resort. Will this play fine when I burn it to a disc? Or is there any precautions I need to take before playing?

Thank you.

Bump.

Can't get Wii Sports Resort to work. What do I do? Same goes for SSBB. The cIOS you mentioned didn't work.

so you used softmii package to hack your wii. i guess you have cioscorp. you must install first official ios on your wii to get rid of cioscorp then do mod your wii using one of the guides at the stickies.

Still seeking information on SSBB. Can't get it to work. cIOS249 Rev14 and 15 using NeoGamma R8 fail to play the game, I get disc read error 1048.

I got Wii Sports Resort working at least =)

No lol thx

Ok even using this version it still freeze during the installation. WHY? ;_;
Since no one seems to understand why is happening I'll try to give more information.
The wad that aren't working are all new games. I actually haven't tried with any application. Back in time I could install wad without any problem.
Maybe I should just update my wii ver? If so should I format everything or uninstall the HBC or I don't know what?
