I have an ISO I'm trying to convert with wbfs_file and it creates the directory, starts, and then just crashes. I don't get any warning or error messages, it simply crashes the program and a pop up window comes up telling me it has crashed. I'm guessing maybe a bad ISO, so I'll try it from the original in the machine.

My 4 GB SD Card isn't working out for me and my 2 GB is, but you already know that SDHC isn't working out too well so I'll just leave it to you to fix it eventually xD

Specifically, I can see my games fine, and I can install games fine, and when I click on a game it plays the intro sound effect from the game fine, but when I try to load the game it hangs when it says it's loading the custom ios 222-mload. I've tried with 223-mload also.

I love this loader and keep up the awesome work!

I have the same problem. My USB Kingston DT mini Slim 4 GB isn't working out for me however my SD 2 GB and USB Kingston DataTraveler 4GB is. It hangs when it says it's loading the custom ios 222/3-mload.

Hey everyone,

I don't know if this has been asked before so I will aplogize in advance cause I don't have the time to sift though 400+ pages for an answer. I have followed GAF's tutorial to a T up to installing IOS249 (I have version 4.2 if that helps) without any issues. Now I have come to the point where I'm suppose to download and put this USBLoader file I got from here in the root of my SD card which I've done, but the homebrew channel isn't finding it. Any help in fixing this promble? Thanks!

are most guys using this loader still using an SD card?

I was trying to get it to run directly off the hard drive to eliminate the use of the SD a little while ago but couldn't get it to work , I thought I'd try it again , though.
I had read somewhere that it was better to run the FAT32 partition after the WBFS partition , and that was how I had set it up . could that be the source of the problem?

Where did you read that? Wbfs is perfectly fine if it's the 2nd or 3rd partition, while some apps might only check the 1st partition for FAT32.

I'd post a link to it if I could find it again, it was just a post I read while I was searching.
can I rip the games directly from disc with this loader, or do I always have to use WBFS manager to put the games on the hard drive?

I keep running into this issue where the cfg usb loader hangs at the logo screen. Might be a freeze or something though as the wiimote doesn't connect to the wii either.
It worked fine, then I updated to v49 and it started hanging. So I used any title deleter to delete the cIOSes that I had installed and reinstalled them with wad manager. It starts working again.
Then I setup a wifi connection (I was already 4.2U) and now it is hanging at the logo again.
Any ideas on what the issue is?

Using 4.2U with 500gb wbfs partitioned hdd (also has 500gb ntfs partition on it)

Hit "+" on wiimote to install disc in drive, compresses it too.

The homebrew channel only sees what is in the "apps" folder of the sd card. You need to place the cfg usb loader folder containing the boot.dol in the /apps folder of your sd card. The other folder called usbloader that goes in the root of the sd card is what the cfg usb loader sees and it contains the themes|music|covers|etc.

With v49, I noticed that my games are now ripped into a specific folder instead of seperately in my "wbfs" folder like the rest of my games. Does that make a difference?

That's just how it's done now, that's all. I think it's more to make organization easier.

Ah, I see.

And with Metroid Prime Trilogy, if I unlock any extras, do I have to go to the menu.dol to view them all with all three games on seperate dols such as the Hypermode Difficulty, Art Gallery, and Fusion Suit?

Sorry if this was answered already but I´ve searched around and couldn´t find an answer yet. I've got Resident Evil Archives: Zero (Wii version) a few days ago and just can't load it with Configurable USB Loader.

Already tried 002 fix, blocking IOS reload, cIOS 249, 222, 223 and all the combination in betweeen, nothing works.

The games loads fine, the safety strap screen from NIntendo shows up and then it loads that screen with the Mansion background and the message "This game contains scenes of explicit violence and gore" and then just freezes.

If I don't plugin the classic controller or the nunchuck, after the safety strap screen a black screen with a message to attach either one is shown. When I attach the nunchuck (or the classic controller) it loads the Mansion screen with the message about violence/gore and freezes.

Already tried 2 different ISO dumps so I dont think they are the problem.

I have my Wii softmodded with Wanin's 249 rev 14, Hermes' 202, 222 and 223 v4, and Config. USB Loader v49.

Any ideas? Does this game need some alt.dol tricks to work or requires a special cIOS ?

Plz help.

Thanks in advance

I'm having an issue where it hangs on the Conf USB Loader boot screen. I can hear the hard drive spool up then back down over and over and nothing else happens. Everything was working fine a few days ago.

Any ideas?

I just tried Wiiflow out and the same thing happened. I'm a bit new at this, a friend of mine did all the hacking.

Using Conf USB Loader V49.

This is what the wad folder on my SD card looks like:

I know I'm using the V15 versions.

I'm not really sure how to get the rest of that information.

EDIT: The filesystem on the hard drive is wbfs.

If you rip from the Wii's DVD drive, using the loader it will automatically put it in the correct place.

What WBFS manager does is take an ISO and convert it to a cISO for the loader to use.

I added another game to the HD and now everything works again. Not really sure what happened.

All of my Conf USB Loader preferences were wiped though.
