I am looking for a method to play disk backups such as We Sing and U Sing.

SM 4.0E
cIOS 249 rev14
The latest hermes cIOS installed.

Neogamma R8 beta15
Softchip Latest.

Neogamma has no Mic support due to cIOS
Softchip gives the 002 error with all cIOS tried 202, 222, 223, 249 with fix 002 error both enabled and disabled.

Any idea how to fix this would be appreciated. (By The Wife)

If this has been covered before I am sorry but the site search not working for me.

There are known issues to getting probs with instruments on a softmodded/hardmodded wii

You probably need to install hermes cios. Instruments such as mics etc are quite problematic with waninkoko's Cios's and therefore you need to install Hermes Cios's which are based on old version of waninkoko's cios with instrument support. I had the same trouble with some games with my guitar. Google 'hermes 222' or 'hermes 222 instrument' etc.

Unable to put a link in here to the actual page as gbatemp disallows links to cIOS's and I would probably get banned!

Enjoy!

Yes I understand the probs caused with cIOS 249. and I have hermes cIOS installed in the following manner.
cIOS222. 38 merged 37
cIOS223. as 38
cIOS202. 38 merged 60
as recomended in this guide Here

I understand these settings can be used for USB loading but I am trying to play from disk and cannot find a disk loader that works, SoftChip is the only disk loader I can find which allows me to choose which cIOS to use and that just keeps giving me the 002 error even when the fix 002 error is enabled.

Anyone know another loader to use or if I need to tweak the cIOS settings.
Please don't tell me to use USB loading (no spare HD) and this request is for the wife and as simple a solution as possible is best, at the moment she can just about find her way around disk loading.

You might be better off with a mod chip, reading dvd's with a soft mod is slow and you don't want it to lag (make sure you get one that is soldered to your drive controller and allows faster than 4x reading).
A loader for discs sounds too complicated for her anyway, usb loaders are far more user friendly than the disc loaders.

I use softchip and backup discs to run GH5, Smash Hits, and Rockband Beatles... all with guitars and USB microphone.
I believe that I have MulticIOS installed to 223, and Hermes v4 installed to 222. I have to use 222 for Rockband, and 223 for the Guitar Hero's.

There is a thread somewhere on the forum with more details on getting these working with proper IOS's. Getting your games to load off disc with a microphone shouldn't be a problem.

Edit: Music games are not very demanding, and therefore the 3x read speed on the discs should not pose a problem at all. Loading times might be slightly higher, but the games run just as they would from an original disc.

Once again you are correct WiiPower, just tried it with a friends Wii and both games play with mic support.

They have neogamma R8 beta 13. I have beta 15 and I also have a modchip the old WiiD so maybe the modchip was causing the problem. Will fiddle around a bit further.

thanks to all who replied.
