Add CycloDS Evolution v1.56 beta 4 to the list as working with the XPA patch.

Plus the 1 meg save file.....then it will save too. Just confirmed this.

Congrates to all those who manage to figure it all out
Just got back from shopping & found it's been solved

I can confirm it fully works on a M3i0 + Dsi + 8Gb SDHC card (Train Controls & Save works)
[Just would LOVE to not have the 'Xeno' splash screen i.e 'CLEAN ROM']

EDIT: Just popped over to M3 Forums & there's this post

Instead of answering multiple threads about this game. Here is a sticky for it.

We are aware of this issue and we are currently looking into it.

Meanwhile you may try using the patch and a custom sav file to get the game working.

Patch:http://www.mediafire.com/?ig2wytak2ag
Save File:http://www.mediafire.com/?tm2atmyjzxh

Threads being made about this game regarding the same issue may not be answered.

Thank you for your support and patience.
So who knows - there may be a fix from them pretty soon

OMG does someone who manage to save with a CycloDS can explain to me how he did cuz I tried with the clean .sav file on mediafire, and with my own .sav file from desmume but it doesn't work at all...

EDIT : Nevermind... I just remembered that I was on alternative save mode...

EDIT2 : I'm asking again if someone has a clean .sav file and just finished the first dungeon please. I just f****d up my first save

Yeah, my little brother has an original R4DS (No SDHC support :D). I've installed the latest YSMenu on it, patched the Zelda rom, turned de-selected the reset button. Still, no train buttons. Thank god i've bought an AceKard.

So... Just put those files in the TTMenu directory?Correct.

And it says that M&L:BIS also works with these files. Does it?To the best of my knowledge, yes.
I know and have personally tested that with the updated libinfo.dat/extinfo.dat/savlib.dat that you can select a save slot and start a game and go through the opening movies. I haven't tested further, but I haven't heard of anyone getting stuck after that.

So, guys. Does the game need a 1MB save file to play w/o issues on YSMenu or other carts, or just Cyclo DS?

another question, i started a game with the unpatched version and saved in the beggining, then i went to the patched version and it said it started a new save file. Why did that happen if the saves can work on both versions of the game, CycloDS v1.54 beta 4

Because CycloDS can't make a proper save file -- patched or unpatched.
I think CycloDS' need a 1MB file, but it creates a 512k file. There is one linked just above.

For those with CycloDS that still aren't working using a .sav file from an emulator, make sure you're putting the .sav file in the right spot. It seems from 1.55 to 1.55b3 and above, they've changed the directory for the .sav files from the directory your .nds files are actually in to a separate SAVES folder on the root.

I was curious why there were 2 .sav files with the same name on my card in 2 different spots and why I couldn't get it to work where I normally put my .sav files (the .nds directory)... now I know why. Working fine now :)
