I have patched the rom with the Xenofobia patch, then I open the rom in my r4i gold, everything was very nice, but when I enter in Hyrule castle, the game freeze and everything become black. I didn`t have any idea about what happen, did I do something wrong? Someone is having the same problem?

Sorry for my bad english

Hey all,

Been watching the thread since the start and now I'm thorougly confused...

I have an M3 Simply DS ... I'm using the last official firmware (1.14)

Do I need to XPA patch AND save file fix or just the patch?

anyone else with this card that can comment on how (or if) you got it working?

I have a DSTT, with unofficial kernal v1.17a.
Without the patch, I couldn't see the buttons.

I downloaded the patch and patched a rom, and it works for my DSTT

Just wanna add an update to my situation.

using M3 simply (official firmware 1.14)
clean and self patched rom with XPA patch

I load it up and I get the XPA preload splash screen (with color tearing in the bottom corner kinda like old VCR's use to do)

I hit A, and it jumps to the nintendo splash screen where it freezes on the white screen

I'm not using the modifed save because AFAIK M3 simply only supports save files 512k and under

has anyone got this working on m3 Simply?

Turn off Soft Reset (usually an ® in the upper corner).
Also... you should look at getting YSMenu. The YSMenu which uses DSTT's 1.17a07 firmware can run just about everything and is still being updated.

Clean ROM on AKAIO1.5 doesn't work on my AK2 (non-i) - no train controls

Xeno patch works great though

I also wanted to repost here what I wrote in another thread in this subforum, since it seems I'm not the only having issues "just doubleclicking the bat to run the patch"...
QUOTE said:
I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere so I thought I would comment... I had a similar issue myself, where the bat file would report that the EXE was a bad path or could not be found. It seems to me that it's an issue in Vista (god I hate this OS), even running the bat as Administrator wouldn't add the local directory to the PATH.

1. Extract the patch to the same directory as your rom
2. Rename the rom to xpa-lzst.nds
3. Manually open a cmd prompt
4. CD to the directory all your files are in
5. Run xpa-zstc.bat from the command line.

Done! Rather than error trying to find the exe, you'll notice it pause as it's processing the file. The script will properly process the rom and create the -cracked.nds version for you. Cheers! :)

Confirmed working for Slot-2 M3 SD Slim model.
Safe Mode, no Trim or Soft Reset. Tried using 4X, soft reset and Trim but doesn't work.
