I'll download this if it means a more perfect experience than we already had with JenesisDS. Plus, we should be able to lockon the games.

Fail much SEGA?! Seriously only four games? You can't put Sonic Advance 1, 2, and 3 which is only megabytes you know. Yeah get to working on that next Sonic Rush game SEGA.

Most people have used an emulator for the PSP for the lock on games and I've played the 0512 prototype of Sonic 3 on my PSP-1000 and it has features that trumps the final product hands down (if you don't mind the bug that makes hyper forms vulnerable sometimes). Also, the DS game gets a strike for no Knuckles in Sonic 2 shame on you Sega.

By the way, in regards to the Sonic and Knuckles team, not only are they teamed up, but the leader is Knuckles. You can tell by the life icon in the bottom left corner. It's Knuckles' icon. I'm going to make a fair guess and assume we can now team up any of the three characters with each other. Knuckles used to be only a solo player, now he can be paired with Sonic (as the leader).

And i'm guessing Jakob is joking. It's pretty obvious. If he's not......then it's just sad and pathetic. lol

That would be weird though, didn't sonic and knuckles oppose eachother in the original?

I doubt they would do it, but multiplayer would be nice. It would likely only be local and require that each person have their own copy of the game. Or then again, maybe they'll just not have it at all, i'd expect as much.

Maybe so, but then again, Knuckles had his own unique levels and and story. He had a different ending too. AND he fought a different boss than Robotnik, the Egg Robo. The entire affair obviously happens after the original S&K3. And in his story, Sonic and Knuckles aren't enemies. Sonic even helps him out at the end.

Plus, we see in the screenshot that Knuckles and Sonic are fighting the Egg Robot just like in Knuckles solo play. Likely, they added Sonic just as a partner because they are no longer enemies here. In fact, they become friends at the end of Sonic's story. Makes sense anyways.

I have these classic Sonic games on many different platforms already, but there's something nice about having a fully fledged DS game dedicated to them. I hope they do a good job (not like Sonic Genesis on GBA).

The original Sonic games are by far the best. It's painful to see how far the franchise has slipped.

This game is gonna get soft with the save anywhere feature.

@ Opium: The Sonic Advance games weren't half bad. I tried them, and they took the old Sonic formula and got something pretty great.

Also with the new 3d Sonic in HD, there's also some new stuff to look forward to. Personally, I can't wait for it.

The only thing they can do right now that would make this an almost must have for any Sonic fan is better multiplayer. Throw in a bonus racing mode like the old games had, just improve that, instead of split screen, keep it a screen each maybe, or better, if you're doing multiplayer wirelessly/online, let each player just have the entire screen for themselves. This would be much more beneficial on coop. It's always sucks for Tails to go off screen because the person playing as Sonic can cooperate with the Tails player. Maybe throw in other characters to play as, like Blaze or Shadow. That doesn't change much game play, but does add more for the Sonic fans. Heck throw in a better Sonic drift as a hidden gift, and I'll be happy.

Meh, couldn't care less about this, waiting for that new game, the infamous "fast, 2-d style" feel apprently, that Sega is working on. There hasn't been any new news on that has there?
