Yes. Also this installer wont trucha bug the IOSes and it wont install any stubs, so your safe. If you want to use homebrew it is recommended to have the latest hackmii installer and install BootMii, DVDX and HBC before the update, also make sure you have a cIOS 38 rev 14 and Hermes cIOS 222, 223 installed.

If I want to run the official 4.2 update from Nintendo, how can I make that as safe as possible? Should I uninstall bootmii from boot2? Or won't it matter and is it just a matter of chance if it will brick or not? I am currently on boot2v2.
I know there's a safe 4.2 updater that leaves boot2 alone, but Im just wondering how I can run the official update with as low a risk as possible. I know there's still a risk, but how do I minimize this risk as much as possible? Is there anything known about that?

official = update to boot2 and buggy code=brick so offical update = possible brick..get it...just leave it alone don't even update jesus that is the number 1 rule for wii stuff. how can people not get it...there really is no reason to update! ohhh no IOS version number is different digits I gotta have it!!!!! fucking pokemon started this bull with gotta catch em all crap

I get it, but you're definately over-reacting. I just want to know if there's details known about what will lower or raise your chance to getting bricked by the buggy nintendo boot2-update code. Just because it is right now better not to update boot2 at all, it doesn't mean gathering info about it and researching it should be forbidden. Yes, I know the boot2 update is buggy, but is there any more detailed knowledge about it, or not. That's my question.

Im interested in updating the boot2 because im trying to use betwiin and and my wii is boot2v3 and the one im trying to copy my nand to is boot2v4 so its not possible. does anyone have a solution on what i should do? thanks
