Homebrew Go DS?

I was wondering if there was a Go Homebrew for the DS? And when I say Go I mean the board game. I've tried searching... but searching for a title consisting of 2 2 letter words doesn't warrant much success.

Yes, there is - DSgf. Unfortunately, it may not be quite what you're after as you can't play against a computer; instead, it's designed to handle sgf files. I've always been disappointed no one in Japan has had tried to produce a fully functioning homebrew. I usually rely on the old SNES games under emulation, though my favourite is the commercially released DS Ginsei Igo.

They say this about DSgf:
DSgf is a homebrew application allowing sgf editing on the Nintendo DS. Alpha 2.11, available on sourceforge was released in February 2008 and works well. DSgf provides a clean and intuitive GUI for your game recordings. 2.11 appears to be the final version of the software.

So you can't play against the DS, but you can set up the board any way you like as well as play against someone sitting next to you

Anyway, it's quite nicely done, so give it go (pun intended).

I honestly prefer Ginsei Igo. It allows DL play with another DS. The tsumego problems suck though; anyone above 15 kyu will have no problem with it.

Would i be wrong in saying that the "Connect 5" game on the commercial game "Clubhouse Games" is almost an exact copy of Go?

Same board, same stones, completely different rules. Go is a far deeper and challenging game.

Kay, i wasn't sure. I play Clubhouse a lot. And i have a general idea of what Go is (at least i know what it looks like). I always thought that was just what they called it in that game.

Speaking of which. And this is loosely on topic, but can anyone recommend me a way to learn how to play Go (I apologize for the grammar, but i'm too lazy to fix it)? It always looked like it might be a fun board game (i'm an avid domino player).
