how do i reinstall the system menu?

i want to get rid of it cuz the homebrew channel button doesnt want to work for me. when i click it, it freezes and makes my wiimote vibrate like crazy.
if anyone knows how to fix that problem than i might leave it.

ok, easy solution.

first, make sure you have a cIOS installed. (i recommend rev14)

v4.2 Safe Firmware Updater
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=184057&st=0

This will not only restore your system menu (get rid of wiihome), but will also update your wii for you to 4.2 safely (cios etc in tact).

Just make sure you aren't downloading crap on your computer or anything while it is going (Make sure your internet connection isn't being used by any other device in your home)

afterward, use DOP-IOS Mod (I'll link you in a sec, have to upload it) to patch ios 36 and 70.

only with the updater or following the sticked xzero guide at the top of the forum.

I just simply gave the easiest way since you have an internet connection to your wii.

NEVER update through nintendo.

here, dop-IOS MODv6.

Here, this is from the safe updater topic. Its a post made by zektor, maker of safe updater.

zektor said:
Well, I would get at least cIOS 249 installed first. You will need that after the update to run DOP-IOS and trucha sign IOS70 (which is needed for the vc/wiiware sd stuff)

So:

1. Install cIOSrev14

2. Use the safe updater

3. Use DOP-IOS MOD v6 and trucha sign IOS70

BTW, I remind you (and everyone) again to install the latest Homebrew Channel before updating. You can easily install it afterward, but it makes life simple to have it installed beforehand.
