with this editor will i be able to add any enemies to any of the levels? say a bunch of ghosts in level 1-1? and put tubes and blocks and shit everywhere? if so this is a freakig dream come true. i have always wanted to make my own mario levels. if you make this happen you are my hero!
Yes. NSMBWii is -the- most flexible Mario game for hacking yet - there are barely any limitations. I've just added support for putting any enemy/sprite into any level and given test version 3 to testers.

I took this screenshot as proof: http://i48.tinypic.com/w03teb.jpg

QUOTE(Motherbrainsbrain @ Nov 17 2009, 08:46 PM) also what is the secret you speak of?! i have to know, i am more excited for this editor than i was for the game itself.
If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret would it?

wow thats so awesome! will the spiky block guys from the castles who drop when you run under them work in other levels? that would be really cool

This has nothing to do with Reggie!, but I made a custom level on NSMB DS.
It is 1-1 from SMB1.
This is my first level hack.

Are we allowed to put IPS patches here? If so, I will upload the patch (from a good dump of a rom.)

edit: Oh My Goodness!!! The IPS file is almost 18MB!!! In a 7-zip file it's 9.64MB!!! I have no problem uploading it though...

this will occupy much of time once this gets released! keep up the good work guys, i know you won't disappoint

is this relatively easy to use? i tried looking at tanooki, but it is very tough to use without the graphics. just in your opinion do you think its easy?

It's very easy to use. The level in my video took me less than an hour and a half to make, including the planning of it, and deleting the old layout.

. Does anyone know how to make an IPS patch? (SmartIPS didn't work, game crashed on load). Or, is it legal to distribute the *.nml files? (from Treeki's NSMBe 4.7)

You can distribute the .nml files legally, but ahy are you posting this here? Also, this isn't really new since I made SMB 1-1 ages ago back when I was working on NRMB.

This was when I went to test the latest version of No$GBA for sound support.

Congrats on making it to Joystiq. Makes me wonder if we have someone who writes from them right here on the forum.
And Escapist.
And Destructoid.
And basically everywhere at this point. Of course, they all seem to think that you must emulate to play these levels. That is not the case

You can play these on the Wii, guaranteed.

Have you guys found that there's a limit to the number of objects you can place before slowdown occurs? I would assume that no matter how well coded it is, after there's a certain amount of stuff onscreen the framerate will drop.
