but my advice to the OP, the only downgrade that should be done is 4.2 to 4.1

just install v6174 of IOS60
then install the 4.1 system menu.

what about if preloader is installed? and i heard deleting ios 60 bricks Wii (not that thats what you said. you said to install it.) and basically its the one Ios i dont want to do the funky chicken with 8) Ios 60 that is.

thanks for your time, dont worry its not wasted.

i have bootmii2 and ios. and preloader 0.30 installed and nand backup. completely softmodded.

if your on 4.2
then IOS60 is a stub, which means its useless and not being used whatsoever.
so, still being on 4.2, its safe to delete IOS60 with anytitle deleter, then do what i said

Use homebrew as it was intended, for hobbyist coders to make useful games and apps, not for warez.

good one
rofl.gif

Who made homebrew possible on Wii? Team Twiizers.
Who made HBC and BootMii, used by every warez guide? Team Twiizers.
Who is against piracy? Team Twiizers.

The REAL homebrew devs, the ones releasing the exploits making it happen etc. (Team Twiizers, Comex...) are all against piracy.

Homebrew =/= warez. Homebrew is not designed for warez. It is hijacked by people wanting to be made famous who make warez apps, which the true devs could make in a day, and everyone worships them.

I was not joking. Dont laugh.

Back on topic: You say you did buy the games? Then just play the originals. No problems.

I'd be willing to bet cash this guy has more ISO's and .wad's then 50% of the people here.
50% of people here have negative numbers of ISOs and WADs? That's reasonably impressive, that 50% of people on this site have achieved the impossible. I am seirously impressed. Please describe how I can have negative ISOs and WADs, as that would be better than my current 0 of each. I am being deadly serious. I have NEVER had an ISO or WAD (of any kind, even legal wads like IOS WADs etc) on my SD card or Wii, and I have never installed a patched IOS, let alone a cIOS. I have never used a backup loader, I have never put a burnt disc in my Wii. I have never HAD a USB hard drive, I only ever plugged in a pen drive to play music in MPlayer CE. I do not use "legal backups", let alone pirated games. If you took the bet you are willing to make, you would lose. I would offer to take you up on that bet, but I am not a gambling man. I am a Christian, I do not support gambling, or piracy.

I know but saying someone has an IQ over 200 is pretty wrong too... Generally speaking.

Steven Hawking is said to have an IQ over 200, and there is another kid (i forget his name) that is said to have an IQ over 200, but they cannot exact a number because they dont know how to tell how high an IQ is when it gets above a certain level.

I was tested in first grade and I was measured with an IQ of 149, but that is understandable because I was also diagnosed with aspergers syndrome which is on the high functioning side of the autism spectrum.

But this is way off topic now

It is lol. So yeah, which is why I considered 150 the top breakoff. 50 and 150 are both possible, but the test are unreliable anyway, especially at both extremes.

downgrade = fail

Never downgrade a Wii. It can only end in tears. You can do anything on a 4.2 wii that you can do on a 4.1 or 3.2 wii. FACT.

disc channel seems to be more picky about what it will load, but you don't need to use it.

QUOTE(SifJar @ Oct 25 2009, 05:13 PM) Back on topic: You say you did buy the games? Then just play the originals. No problems.

Japanese Wii & Pal games, which on 4.2 won't load in disc channel. You need something like geckos.

Ok So far...SifJar you've lost my plot.

smf....the problem that Im having is...I cant run the original games. The burnt dvds are runnin fine...

How do I install/run Geckos. Is there a guide where I can read up about it.

Get homebrew - install cfg loader v45 - install original games to hdd - run them!

I really use USB loader to my original games. Much more convinient than to change disc all the time and no need to always try to find them.

It's easy for people to say "I'm against piracy. I code apps to be used for homebrew purposes only."

But do we honestly know what's on people's systems? Do we know that people aren't just trying to cover their asses?
very easy to see
smile.gif

give me a wii and i can tell you if it has any piracy on it

also, im not going to quote whoever said it, but indeed. the ppl saving your asses dont do piracy
me included. i have cios but only for testing perposes. no patched ios (except for 36 cause priiloader installer needs it atm) and the only iso's i have are from my own games and i can prove it
