Just wait people. It'll be out soon. And noobs, don't register just to ask a question, be smart and read all the posts, if not, some posts before registering and asking a dumb question.
It'll be out when its finished.

With that being said here's my 2 cents I have an r4isdhc white screen/dont work but on my laptop I can play
the patched rom and the clean rom just fine and 55frames out of 60 no noticable lag and saves just fine...

Well okay ninty has heavily protected this game and with all the whining i'm calling out the dev's on this the
emu I'm using is desmuemu 0.9.4 like i said above... So why not port desmuemu to ds yeah i know it sounds
silly but you'd have everything you need the hardware power etc... just like a flash cart basically emulates a
real ds cart.... You wouldnt have to configure anything keys, graphic sound or microphone because it's all there
all you would have to do is load the emu from a flashcart example desmuemu.nds then select the game and
it should work right... the only reason I am saying this is because the clean xpa-mal3.nds and the xpa-mal3.nds
cracked rom works fine on desmuemu no freezing or glitching and I use a real microphone on my laptop
and it's just fine... But the main point is how desmuemu loads and runs this game there has to be a difference
in the way it does and how the flashcarts do but they require patching or AR code and this does not this would
be great if that could be done then there would no more whining when it come to piracy protection games
and ninty would scratch their heads how do i block an emu within a flash cart...

So in other words why not make a desmuemu launcher for flashcarts that lauches protected games without
hassle... Think of it like this ok bowser inside story doesnt run on r4,dstt menu etc okay launch desmuemu
.nds then select bowser inside story and bam it works then once loaded have fun etc saves should work fine
desmuemu auto detects all the saves sizes just like flashcarts already coded into it etc... It's like putting
the ds or dsi into test mode like a ps3 debug where there are no checks etc this would be sweet well that's
my idea and it sounds better than another menu for all the non working cards I think it would be harder
for ninty to block an emu from a flash card theyd really have to probe at it and it would be harder if the
developer encrpterd the emu once compiled etc...

Well that's my idea to this protection crap well dont get me wrong my laptop runs it so atleast i can play
it but not everyone has a dual or phenom laptop or pc with decent graphics card to handle it....

To anyone with a decent pc or laptop on desmuemu 0.9.4 use soft rasptner on 3d graphics, frameskip to
limited and at 1 if you use 0 it will run but the music is slow but at 1 frameskip and limit it will run like
visual boy advance did before you set it triple buffering i get 55fps and that's smooth enough....

Ok devs take a look please give feedback let's get this thing back under control pirates vs ninty ninjas...

I wish I knew how to develop and compile to port this thing to dsi dslite dsphatt...........
That is the single stupidest thing I have ever read on GBAtemp.

Second'd. It's like someone who has never seen under the hood of a car telling me how to mod my car so that it runs on water and Funyuns instead of gas.
blink.gif

HAHA third'd
i actually laughed out loud in front of the computer
its more like someone saying they can hack someone else's computer by using command prompt
smileipb2.png
Thats the longest sentence ive ever read... but wait, did it even end?!?!?

In taking a different approach to what gisell suggested, there might be another way. Please excuse me if I sound ignorant, as I am not a coder, and have nothing but the utmost respect for those who are. My thought is this, We all know that the J version of ML3 has been patched to work on all flashcards out there. I also know that it is possible to "hack" japanese roms by going in and replacing the text with english. Take Soma bringer for example. I would guess that the reason translation projects take so long is twofold. First, there's the actual process of translating the text into english. Second, you have to find the right point in the code to make the change. Since we now have an english release, it seems like most of the hard work would be done and that someone with the knowledge would just have to "cut and paste" the english text in and problem solved. Again, please excuse me if what i'm suggesting is way off base and / or damn near impossible to do. Just another idea if the patch proves to be impossible to make.

I'd say Nintendo's found the best way to deter pirates: rather than relying on one good anti-piracy measure that'll get removed quickly, just cram in a whole load of decent anti-piracy checks so it takes several days to crack. Though a working patch may come out any time now, I'm sure many would-be pirates have given up and grabbed the game already. Now that they know this, it'll get worse. Expect any major release from here on out to have plenty of checks. Hopefully the good people working on fixing up a patch for this one will find a way to get around it quicker by then.

I'd say you dont know what you are talking about and thats not even the problem, afaik it actually has less checks than the JPN version. Its not that its some amazing hard to crack protection its just that the person made the crack specifically for acekard and anything else it works on is just a bonus. No one else has stepped up to 'port' the crack to other carts even though this being released should provide enough information to do it. Bug the people who do your cart firmwares to fix it as it should be them doing it.

Oh god, can't wait to see the LOZ: Spirit Tracks shitstorm...

Every site on the internet focused on NDS piracy will implode.

People will commit suicide if it won't work on R4 in first day.

More than it imploded with HG/SS? That was pretty bad too...and it's just the japanese version.

A) LoZ will NEVER be as bad as this weekend. Throwing three of the biggest releases of the year, possibly even of all time in the DS's history, into a span of 2-3 days is bad.
B) Phantom Hourglass wasn't great at all. It had a lot of flaws in it. Making Link run around with his gay little conductor hat and whatever character from Thomas the Tank Engine he's dry humping won't fix those. The train mechanic actually looks like a lot of unnecessary and overall stupid flair. I play Zelda games for Zelda games, not to play Choo Choo. Side note, I don't use the word gay as an insult, it just does make him look like a queen.
C) It's still a sequel to an underwhelming Zelda game. If they announced Ocarina of Time for the DS then I'm pretty sure this site will be gone for a week.

Imagine if you will that KH has a very insidious piracy check, a la Chrono Trigger. This will cause a black hole of bitching so massive it will destroy the internets.

The patch doesn't work for me, I'm using an AceKard 2i, on AKMenu 4.18, and when I try to start the patched ROM it just freezes, giving me white screens.

This happens with any EDGE. The game freezes at a black screen after you save. That's right. After. So if you reset your DS, the save will be there.

BTW, is there any way to get it working on an EDGE without the black screen after saving?
Can porting the JP code and using it with the current US code fix the problem?

Seconded. Adventuring was fun, but the damn ship killed it... And now they want to do the same with Spirit Tracks, just replace ship with train.
