If the game is burned from a good copy, it should work find in neo or usbloaderGX. If you "acquired" the copy from some place, you might want to get another copy, from someplace else. I had to do that, after the game was freezing at the health screen, and the game now works perfectly fine with 002 enabled.

Yes!! I Did it!! I finally got it work!!

hajuu!!
Let me tell you about my experience
First of all, English is not my native language, so I hope I can make myself clear.
I´ve got a LU64 Wii. Originally it came with 3.4u version firmware but I updated it to 4.0u via wifi, before making a softmod.
Because of been a LU64 console, I had to hack it via bannerbomb, hackmii, LU64fix and installed IOS38 rev 13b (yes, 13b).
Then, via HBC, launched NeoGamma R6 and mounted a Transcend 16gb SDHC (WBFS formated). In the SD card I have the wizzled NTSC ghostbusters´ iso file. Before loading the game, I set this options:
Region Options
_Boot lang: Spanish (that´s my case, you set what you want)
_Force Video: Wii (mine is NTSC and I always get NTSC games)
_Patch video: All
_VIDTV patch: No
_Patch country str: No
Config Options
_Hook type: None
_Ocarina on: No
_Anti 002 fix: Yes
_Altern. .dol: No
_Save config: Yes
Rebooter Options
_Everything: No
Back at the menu, press B to launch rebooter and then load the game.
Some of the steps or settings may not be necessary. But that is how it works, so I don´t change it.
I think that since I use neogamma R6 and load the iso from the SD card, it doesn´t matter it is rev 13b. It only needs the patch video and the 002 fix. And loading through on USB might also work.
Hope this helps

Gambia, The
What the ???

Does everything on default, except the language not work??? Patching to NTSC on a NTSC Wii with a NTSC game does not make sense.

Also if you use a proper loader use cIOSrev13a and turn the crappy anti 002 fix off, nobody knows what side effects it has.(it's meant for people who NEED to use cIOSrev9 or 10 for a REASON like their HDD is not compatible with rev13a).

It plays fine for me back on R4,
What makes me laugh my ass off is my brother in law cant use r4 because for some reason it doesn't like his wireless sensor.

Anyone else have that issue?

I have a U.S. Wii with firmware 4 installed. No, I don't have homebrew or anything like that installed. Every game so far, including Indiana Jones, have worked flawlessly, except for Ghostbusters. I have a Wasabi DX installed. So, here's my problem. Ghostbusters loads in Wii DVD menu, then when I click Start, the Wii-mote screen comes up and the game freezes. The lights on the remote stays on, regardless of having the nunchuk attached or not. Tried pressing A and "Home" button constantly, but does not work. Tried pressing the C and Z on the nunchuk constantly, does not work. Tried removing the nunchuk, does not work. Tried ejecting the game, does not work. What could be the problem? Burned the game couple of times (used Verbatim DVD-R and Sony DVD-R with ImgBurn 2x), none seems to work. By the way, on the "ejecting game" procedure, I waited until the wii-mote screen shows up and then immediately I hit eject. But my wii does not ask for the game back it just freezes. If I hit eject before the wii-mote screen, it doesn't ask for the game, but it restarts my wii. The copy of ghostbusters is NTSC-USA version. I know that this has been discussed before, but nothing works for me. Do I have to install homebrew to get this working? If so, how do I do that with firmware 4? Thanks in advance!

I know it has been posted before, just wanted to confirm no problems using usb loader gx, rev10, anti-002.

I try to make a habit of searching for a game here while it is being transfered to my hard drive. If a fix has to be applied it will be posted by somebody. It is much easier to search and apply the fix right away than to troubleshoot on your own later on.

Ghostbusters working nice! (transformers 2 , indiana and my sims racing too)

i scanned the web hours and hours searching a way to make ghostbusters working WITHOUT usb loader
because i don't have usb devices at now for my wii. Here is my config and method i used to make ghostbusters and
ghostbusters-like new games to work.

My console is USA NTSC model L64xxxxxxxx

-not hard chipped
-softmoded (with L64fix, hackmii, bannerbomb etc.)
-installed wads before ghostbusters: backup launcher 0.3 gamma, 002fix, gc backup launcher ix, few VC games as channels,
miospatcher, usb loader gx old version (installed the channel because i'll have usb hdd
soon), and all related wad's needed to get the ones above working if i forgot to mention
one. (no special and/or specific wad's like cios\iso installers if not really needed)
for sure, wad manager chan, homebrew channel and homebrew browser channels installed
tongue.gif

firmware of my wii: 4.0U updated before the softmod.

tried neogamma old versions but get the usual green screen or freeze-at-warning screen troubles.

installed ios38 rev13a (wad installation)
installed Neogamma R6 autoboot channel (wad version)

started neogamma chan with "1" pressed to get to the options/config menu
changed ONLY "patch video:" to "all" to avoid green screen
(tested on 2 other consoles and i had to set language to english in the same menu)
connect the nunchuck to the wiimote to avoid freeze at warning screen
launched the game successfuly from the main menu of the neogamma's configuration menu.
tested many times and working great for me. same with others like indiana etc. and all this WITHOUT any usb thing(s). indiana jones and my sims racing ---> no need to enter neogamma menu, they load
great without any config/manipulation.

if this way works for you, please let me know if you find out how to patch main.dol of the ISO file to get the game loading great
without having to change the neogamma settings. would be really great and appreciated!

I have an issue with the game I haven't seen in this thread.

I launch it from USB Launcher GX, and it gets past the health screen and the legal screen and it's at the Loading Screen with the spinning ghost busters coin in the bottom right but it just keeps spinning forever.

-try reburn the iso

-try burn from another iso , maybe your image file's corrupted ??

-try the last version of uloader gx

search google for "brew infinite spinning" , i read somewhere there's some softmod app who had this bug, corrected
by intalling the new version, but don't remember which one it was because i didn't encounter this trouble yet

personaly at now i'm on LU64 wii, softmoded with waninkoko 4.1 firmware update, preloader 0.29, CIOS38rev14
patched ios36 (needed for lu64 machines in order to run preloader)
i use neogamma R6 cuz i noticed R7 version just don't load my gamecube backups correctly.

I sat here for 2 days figuring this game out. The eject works, now i had rev14 but went back to rev13

Now i burned the game at Speed x2 cause i thought my x4 was busted. I will test both CDs.

Anyway heres what you have to do if your using NeoGamma r4 Rev 13 (this only thing that worked for me on 4.1U, my model is less than LU64)

1.) Insert the Game
2.) Make sure your wiimote and nunchuck are connected
3.) Gamma settings for me were:
Anti002: On (not seen when i had gamma as the channel used HBC)
Video: Disc
Region Free: On (i dont think this matters but test it)
4.) Tricky but read carefully this DID work for me...
-The game will begin to load now if your use to running these games you notice the screen flashes green then goes to the safety screen (which freezes Im aware)
ANYWAY, as soon as the screen flashes green and goes to black hit eject (Try having your finger close to the button at this time.)
When this performed correctly you will see "PLEASE INSERT THE GHOSTBUSTERS DISK(GAME)"

Now this part i heard is just luck but this is what i did (based on cokemans LONG reply page 22/23). Push the disk back in and then start hitting A and Home at the same time. The game will load pass teh screen from here.

That is all you have to do.
Now i sat here for a long time reading post everywhere youtubing videoes. I will youtube a video of this trick sooner or later. But as of now its the only thing that works for me.

Again I am using:
Wii 4.1U
Model that is before LU64
NeoGamma r4 (through HBC NOT the channel because of Anti002 option not being there)
Video: Disc
Region Free: On

Any questions I will try my best to help. Nopw i havent played Indy which i heard is another game like this. Seems like Nintendo or game developers are trying to one up us. Won't happen.

Also if you think this game is a joke and a waste of time your wrong it is FREAKING amazing! And if your a Ghostbusters movie fan you will NOT be disappointed.
Have fun and Good FREAKING luck =)

I am awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got ghostbusters to work without doing all that eject stuff.
Use a CIOS installer to install custom IOS 37 with IOS 37 rev7 (i set it as IOS 232 cause i was using this for rockband instruments). Then just launch the game using Softchip set to use IOS 232 (or whatever you just set 37/37 as). The only other settings i changed on softchip is set Game's language to "system default" and Fake IOS version to "enabled".
Your Welcome.

That sounds amazing SUX2BU, but wow that's a lot of work.

4.1 updater waki + rev 14 + usb loader GX w/ 002 enabled = runs without problem

any case I'm happy for u.

easy fix for safety screen lock

I've used the disc eject method with NeoGamma settings as prescribed and got past the green screen lock. Now I cannot pass the safety screen lock.

The nunchuck is attached. What's the "easy fix" I'm missing? i can't google it
