God, Now I wish I didn't sell my Wii in parts

Not sure if this would of helped me since my wii had BootMii as Boot2.

This is what happened to my Wii:

- I used the Ultimate System Menu 4.0 Guide from here; gbatemp
- Decided to Install cIOSCorp. (all Went Well and played backups fine)

But one day I started to read how cIOSCorp could damage your Wii, this and that, and I decided to uninstall it all.

Me, without much knowledge and very new to the Wii scene. I take WAD Manager and uninstall all IOS that cIOSCorp installed.

IOS9, IOS11, .....IOS55, and the Worst, IOS60

And wii only booted to BootMii.

Anyways, I still have this Wii, but no DVD Drive, no SD Slot (Used it to repair my other Wii), etc, etc, etc,

So I don't have a way to mess with it right now unless I undo my working wii, blah blah blah, nah!!!

But hey, It's an experience.

Question:

How does the Wii boot to GC Mode when bricked and does it automaticly load what when "settings.txt" is in SD:\

I don't get it how this works, and how would I boot gc_wadmanager.dol without another loader?

Help me understand.
Thanks.

There's an easier way even without and SD slot: boot to the HBC from BootMii and send the dol of Wad Manager over WiFi to the HBC and reinstall your IOSs that you uninstalled

EDIT just realized you had no SD slot. But then how could your Wii boot to BootMii?

Actualy, when it had the SD Slot it did boot to BootMii, but HBC did not load at all, just black screen. I did think about what you said, but didn't work.

It has no SD Slot now because I removed it to install to my other Wii that had a bad SD Slot.

No one has so I think I need to ask this...why on earth did you uninstall your System Menu?
We're a bunch of spoil kids we money up our necks and we wanted to break our WIIs but too bad, we failed as there is a fix. In case you dont realize, Im being sarcastic.
A stupid and simple wild guess would point you at two possible options: A simple push on the - button in WAD manager (with the cursor pointing at the system file wad) or second someone who knew a lot about WII hacking but not enough not to brick the WII (my case).
Hope that cognitive thirst is satisfied

Hi
I have a black brick.

Conditions before the brick:
Region: NTSC-U
Firmware: 3.2U
HBC installed with bannerbomb
Bootmii instalalled in boot2
Backup of NAND inmediatelly after install of Bootmii
Worked perfect with Wiiflow, uLoader and Neogamma

After played with Super Smash Bros from HDD with uLoader and after turn it off the console does not start again (no firmware update was done)
Black screen, no sound, no wiimotes
I can access bootmii and HBC

Unsuccesfull tries:
Reinstallation of the NAND with Bootmii and the console continues in the same situation (really worse because now I don't have cIOS 249, 222 y 223)
Tried to enter recovery mode without success.
Installed IOS 30 rev 1040 and SM 289 (3.2U), run gc_fix with setting.txt in SD root and no success.
When I run gc_fix this legend "making file writable..." appears and nothing happen.

Thank you very much for your help.
Regards.

Did you have installed a wad file or something before the brick? Just wondering because uninstalling it would help ya out.

I installed a bad wad of a VC game yesterday and had the same black screen... uninstalled and back to normal.

Just an idea.

Thank you for your instant reply.
No, I did not install anything.
I can understand what happened.
The console was working fine and we had been playing Super Smash Bros before without problem.
This time we played Super Smash Bros for a while and when we tried to turn the console on again we realized of the black brick.
More strange is that after reinstall the NAND the console continues in the same situation and more strange is the legend of "making file writable" when I run gc_fix (nobody report this error before)
I had 3 previous wad installed working without problem, anyway I uninstalled all of them just in case but nothing happened.
Thank you again for your help.
Best regards.

Hi! I bricked my wii by uninstalling my system menu which deleted my setting.txt on my wii. I have completely lost wii remote support. I can only use my wii mote when playing games or to turn on my wii. Ive been bricked for a while and have been looking for a way to get unbricked. When i saw this app i immediately tried it but everytime i tried it it kept saying setting.txt not found. I dont know why it keeps saying setting.txt not found. I put a setting.txt on the root of my SDcard. I even applied Trucha, ES identify and Nand permissions Patches to my IOS36 but it keeps saying setting.txt not found. PLZ Help!
