I am going to buy either a white supercard or a black one.
Obviously the latter seems to be a lot harder to find *they do exist right?*

Anyway i also own an Edge DS... I hate it, it's worse then my original R4.
I spent $50 on my R4 when they were at that price
And i only spent $15 for the Edge, so thats saying alot.

What i wanna know is, can i take apart the supercard and put it inside the edge which has a black cart.
It would match my black DS better.
Will it all fit? Has anyone tried this?

The black supercards are an older version, I don't think they make those anymore.

I've never done it before, but I'm pretty sure that you can't put the supercard chip into the Edge DS's case. You could always try i guess...

Bad idea. The Supercard DSOne has a slightly protruding chip which as far as I know is held in by the sticker on it (somebody correct me if wrong) This is easily damaged and I'm pretty sure won't fit into any other cart's case.
My advice: Get over it or buy another cart like an Acekard or M3

Edge has the chip protrusion under the sticker aswell.
And why would i want an Acekard or M3, arent they as featureless as most of the other carts out there.

QUOTE(tedmg09130913 @ Jul 21 2009, 10:25 AM) You might use a black felt tip pen to blacken the white case.

Hehe, funny. I could try that to begin with, seeing as tho id be binning it if it doesnt work after the case swap anyway.
O well, next pay ill order a supercard and mangle it and my edge.
If worse comes to worse im down $19 and will need to spend another $19 for a supercard or $11 for an Edge DS.

Be sure to post images of your finished product if you are indeed successful. Hell, post 'em regardless.

I was making suggestions of others and they just happen to be the 2 that came to mind. There are many others and they all offer pretty much the same range of features. I never use most of the exclusive features on my Supercard (such as Real Time Save).
The point was if you really dislike the colour of the cart so much you would risk taking it apart and putting it in another casing maybe you should consider a different card or get over it.

I have not tried using a different cartridge case for my Supercard DSone, but you can try it, although I am unsure whether if it fits or not because the DSone seems to have a small chip that bulges the sticker of my DSone. If you just want to switch the case for the colour then I wouldn't recommend it but again it's up to you and if you think it's worth the risk and reward.

I used a permanent marker some time ago to paint the exposed parts from white to black on my SCDSone

And how'd that go for you? Got any pictures? Just wondering as I have considered doing that to mine (actually dying the whole thing) but was afraid of what it would look like in the end.

I bet you'll get better results dying over coloring with a marker. Here's some pics of the supercard I colored in. Its not too great, but I'll i wanted it was for it to not be white. I didn't do the whole case because its a waste, and it started to stick a bit inside my DS. I'm unsure if it was because it wasn't dry enough, or maybe the marker made the card too thick, so that's why I didn't go for it. Since it is a marker, Its glossy compared to a normal NDS game as you'll see in the pics.
