I had a cover problem as well, long story short, I ended up running the fix disk thingy in windows and re-downloading the covers, they work fine now. I imagine it was something on my end rather then the app though.

Can you explain the 'fix disk thingy?' in more detail? I have the same issue - loaded games using WBFS Manager in windows, games have 4 digit ID's. Download covers using CoverFloader, no disk art at all and no covers for some games (Dawn of Discovery as an example).

I have CoverFloader 1.0 and I know it now uses 6 digit ID's. How can I convert my game ID's to 6 digit?

Thanks!

Thats odd you are getting 4 digits. I just pulled a spreadsheet from WBFS and all mine are 6 digits (242 NTSC, 10 PAL, 2 RF)
Do a right click in WBFS and export list (I name my file .xls so it is an excel spreadsheet..highlight column A then do this:
Data-->Text To Columns -->Delimited -->Next-->Check "Comma"-->Finish.
This should give you a well laid out list of everything. Name/Disc ID/Region/Size on WBFS

Try that and see if it still shows as four digits

6 digits, thanks!

No, but a google group was just started:
http://groups.google.com/group/wiicoverflow
The PM was about adding support for WiiTDB, I understand you're busy but I thought you were interested?
Please get back to me if you have time.

Ah yes- I'm definitely interested in WiiTDB support; just haven't had time to work through the numerous issues in getting it integrated.

The real problem is still the size of the zip file we are loading in; and the memory shortage issues associated with caching a crapload of covers. I have a feeling all will be great with wiitdb support for those with less than 10 or 20 games... but once you get near the 50+ range; memory becomes an issue (Even with just loading info for games you have)...

That is all theoretical of course; b/c I haven't gotten motivated to play with the code yet... that said... its on our todo list; just need todo-it

That's weird, I switched parental control on and now my Wii resets each time I click on any of the covers or A+B. Same problem exists with 1.0 stable and build 842. Tried unplugging Wii & hdd and even a fresh copy of 1.0.

RC7 works fine though.

Edit: Ok scratch that, it didn't have anything to do with parental control. Deleting the 7KB disc pics as explained few posts later solved the problem.

Please read my private message when you have time, I detailed everything I could. With the files I provided I'm sure you could get it working in no time, literally, and get a better idea of the memory use.
Someone with 500 games would have a 90kb zip, 500kb unzipped, I thought this was already small enough for 500 games.
Scognito told me you couldn't load the file at all, so he started looking at converting the file, but I wonder about how much memory it really takes in your loader. Scognito's way could be the solution for your loader if it's really short on memory as I estimated it could save up to 250kb for 500 games, but I'm curious if nothing else could be done to avoid this.
CFG Loader seems to have improved the loading time for covers by using a newer version of libfat, maybe with that version you could afford caching a little bit less covers while keeping the browsing fast enough. maybe the covers for the games that are not selected could be downsized and saved on the SD card, it could save a lot if that's possible. I remember reading something in this thread about your loader using an old and stable version of libogc? I read on the devkitpro forum that the latest versions improved MEM2 handling, and in the svn changelog one of the updates (from last month or so) mentioned a gain of 1MB.

For me the WAD won't install: ERROR 4100.
1.0 versions do both install...

Further my games on HDD won't start.
I can see all covers, but as soon as I click one - the Wii restarts and I am back in the Menu.
I can't set any fixes like Anti 002 or so - as soon as clicking the game: Reset. I have One-Click-Start disabled.

My Wii: 4.0 (Waninkoko) and cIOS 10.

Im having some trouble with ver. 1.0.
The loader kicks me back to the Wii Menu everytime I select a game box (I cant even load the disk screen).
It seems to be certain games that work and dont (although very few do).

I think it must be a bug with the loader as the same games work fine elsewhere.
I have been using CoverFlow flawlessly with the same games and USB drive since the earliest versions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot!!

That's not a bug...it's a controlled exit! Wiitdb has changed something and if you download covers the files are stored with wrong content (DOCTYPE).

easy workaround: delete all files in SD:/usb-loader/disks with size of 7KB. You can do this also for /covers and /3Dcovers...

Don't download covers until next release...

Is that true? If so... ssssssssweet. I'll have to do some tests with the latest svn version of libogc.

Cant wait to try it out. Thanks for the great work.

Is there a log of the modifications made or issues/settings being looked at? I've been to the google group, not too much posted there.

here is a 1.1 candidate build (r842)

2 Little problems with this build,

1: the disc's are missing when you load a game from 2D or 3D
2: choosing a game in 2D the covers spin a little funny

Here is a new 1.1 candidate (r846) that fixes issue 1 and issue 2

You sure this is r846? As the information screen from within the loader reports it as v1.1 (r837) for me.

It was a joke, there was no support, just a animated screen, that looked like a code dump with heads floating around.

i think from memory you press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left Right, B, A

If he said that's what it is..then that's what you get. Ignore what IT says

Well sorry, but you would expect the screen to say the correct revision
