(already released long ago on japanese it's a wizard game that seem to fuse magic and yu-gi-oh is coming to march in usa and a sequel of the gba version is already going to get released at this point i think there are high chance of see it in the usa)
If you're looking for more infomation on how to play Duel Masters or just want to find out more, check out this new Duel Masters site: Duel Masters.tv

Yeah, Duel Masters looks great. If it's made by Konami, screw it.

mmm i know the basic rule it look like a toned down version of magic (finaly no more mana screwed! *dance around*) but knowing more is never a bad think thanks

oh and as i already sayed duel master is maked by wizard of the coast same guy that do magic the gathering and neopets and the gba game was maked by wotc and takara

P.S

Nature - Nature is literally the forest and animals. Nature likes to generate alot of mana really quick. With more mana, the quicker you can play bigger and better spells. Green doesn't destroy things as well as other colors. Green doesn't have too many big attackers either. It relies a bit on defense.

Fire - If you want huge attackers, Fire has them. Home to Dragons and some machines. Fire can blow up cards in the mana zone and even some weaker creatures. Fire really has no defense or "blockers". Alot of the better fire cards also cost alot of mana.

Water - Water is home to virus, liquid people, and beasts of the sea. Water can send card in the mana zone and creatures in the battle zone, to the owners hand. Water cant destroy anything, so it has to rely on "return to hand" things for its defense. Water is the best at drawing cards. Water has a few attackers, but its better on defense.

Light - Light is home to Angels and other deities of the sky. Light is really big on defense, if not the best at it. Also Light will fight back if you provoke it. Light doesn't destroy things as much, but has a good balance between its attack and defense. Light likes to power up many small creatures to have them team up for big attacks.

Dark - Dark has a little of everything. However, it comes at a price. It is the best at destroying creature cards in the battle zone. Dark also has alot of huge creatures ready to attack. However, Dark's power comes at a price, sometimes you'll have to sacrifice your own creatures or even give up some of your shields. Dark has a bit of defense, but it is really better on the attack.

mmm... i feel little deja-vu

Yeah, I know that. I'm just saying if the GAME is made by Konami. If it is, I don't want to even see a single screenshot.

Lol this is so freakin' funny: This game is nearly EXACT the same as the japanese one (except the title screen) BUT:

Just import your japanese battery file in this ROM...it works

Well there are more cards, better music and gaphics...though admittedly it plays at a slower pace, unless you hold L + R, which is kind of annoying. So take your choice.

Meh...personally I have the best memories of playing Duel Monsters 6 Expert 2...decent AI and plays at a good speed...plus had better AI IMO compared to it's english equivalent WWE.

Bah konami is so lame in making a bug free game:

You all know they changed the term MAGIC card to SPELL Card and while porting they made a big mistake so the game has a major glitch now.

You want an example: Dark Magician related spell cards for example point to have Dark SPELLian on the field (e.g. thousand knives).

Oh oh rofl...

you really don't have to hold down both L + R to play it faster. Just be holding the L button down when you pick your opponent.. after the cards are laid out you don't have to keep holding it.

Anyone else notice a problem w/ the Shield & Sword Card ? (Bug. big time. )

Looks like Duel Masters is coming for GBA and looks to be published by Atari (June 2004 Release date)
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/239656.asp

that is, if its the same as the card game.

let it be known i'm happy that we're discussing duel masters on a yugioh rlease thread.

i've been playing duel masters since the first rom came out, and i think WOTC really did a good job with this. a shame that over in japan this is mostly played by kids, but the system is really good.

i think WOTC wants to bring this over to the states full-time since they even have a page on their portal devoted to it. i wonder though if the GBA game that they're releasing in the states will be Duel Masters 1 or Duel Masters 2 (due out in japan in March i think).

Duel masters also has a GC game if i remember correctly.

and thanks for the site magus, i didn't know that duel masters sites were starting in english.

edit: also, it's only up to its 7th booster pack (meaning 8 packs in total) so it's not too hard to catch up, as opposed to YGH and MTG.
