After doing the whole BannerBomb thing and installing HBC, dvdx, preloader and bootmii can i just use Waninkoko Firmware Updater v4.0 and after is done i can install a usb loader and just go on to play or do i have to install anything else, as in ios?. I don't care about the disc channel, shop channel, sd loading or any of that stuff, just playing the games in usb loaders.

"After doing the whole BannerBomb thing and installing HBC, dvdx, preloader and bootmii [...]" and then "[i care] just playing the games in usb loaders."...

How about Bannerbomb -> HBC -> IOS15 downgrade(TBR*) -> Patched IOS36 as IOS249(TBR) -> Restore IOS15(TBR) -> cIOS installer

And then start the usb loader of your choice. Why the heck all the other stuff too?

(no i won't explain it for now, but it's the simplest way to softmod a Wii)

    One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

    I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

    it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

    Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
