Hacking USB Loader GX

this is my second week of messing with this my system, loosing my patience... i have 4.0 with cIOS rev13a, i installed WBFS Manager and formatted western digital (brand new), transferred COD3, ZELDA and Resident Evil and got nothing, i go into HBC start the GX it shows 3 files i tried all of them and all i get is either back to Wii Menu or freeze.

what im i doing wrong or not doing at all (i ran into trouble playing back ups (disks freeze up, sometimes after playing for a while, some times right away), so decided to use this method and now this bs)

if anyone can tell me what im doing wrong (or not doing) i would be grateful

Anyone know why and how to fix my missing curser I get from time to time (more often then not) when in the loader?

Its just started today.

I have the same issue at times. i notice it really seems to do it if I leave it sit for a minute or two.

Get rid of cios13.The freezing issue your having is a bug in rev13.Go back to 12 or even 10

Kube... you should be able to tell when your loading the channel from the main screen if its the Full Channel or the Forward Channel by the picture that shows up. sounds like you still have the full channel installed.
The forwarder points to the same boot.dol your using in the HBC, so they cannot be different versions.

Try this, delete you current channel using wad manager.
Delete your config file in the SD card... You will see it..
install USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder.wad using wad manager.

See how you go.

I have the same issue at times. i notice it really seems to do it if I leave it sit for a minute or two.

That started in the r540s. I posted an issue report on it in r550 but it seldom does it and only sometimes when downloading covers. I still use r550 modified to get covers from my site until things settle a bit with the new releases.

Just updated and the newest version (567) appears to stack dump after completing a cover image fetch... (after getting the final cover, not after every cover).

Yeah, I can verify that this happens.

Also, what is the possibility of adding the full covers in GX? I just installed WiiFlow with the full box covers and he loves being able to see the backside of the boxes on the screen.

I think I've managed to get every available cover on my site optimized as best I can with PNG Gauntlet. There are 1702 flat (2D) and disc images. I'm missing the following 3D images:

RHAW01.png
RLWW78.png
RM2U69.png
RQ3RGN.png

If anyone has them, please upload them to the site using the upload form. In fact, if I'm missing any 2D or disc art, please send them to me. Leave the disc art as a truncated filename. I created a script to automatically convert the short names to full.

I also included ZIP files of the artwork for easy downloading. Don't whine that it's ZIP. These are PNG files. RAR won't make a much of a difference compressing them.

hdhacker, just have to say that I could not agree more mate

Seagate FreeAgent GO is one of the best drives to use for the wii, end of story

you can't beat portable that shuts off when the wii does

I wish I didn't have to turn standby off though, thats the only way it shuts off, otherwise on standby it will stay turned on, oh well, don't need the standby anyway.

Yeah, I can verify that this happens.

Add another verifier of that.
In my case I have 1 cover to download and have tried to download both the 3D cover and the disc label, both times stack dump.
I have a PAL Wii on 4.0E with the latest 567 (just updated and no 568 yet?) loader update.

**OK whilst typing I read some pages further back and it appears this is a known bug and is possibly fixed already in 568.
Should I be able to update to 568 yet through the loader?

And whilst I have the floor, can anyone advise me of correct settings for sports resort to run on a PAL Wii? I followed working instructions from users with NTSC Wiis but after the video played from .dol and a reboot then turn off alt .dol in settings I just get a black screen.

**update** I didn't put patch country strings on. Wii sports resort is cool.

Yeah, thats a great future with WiiFlow, the full cover, looks very nice. They should do it with GX grid view to.

Right now it's just pointless to use full covers in the loader because nobody in our team has the needed "know-how" to do 3d rendering. Kylling was kind enough to tell us a bit about his project and maybe when he releases his full source he will help us to get 3d boxes working in our loader. Untill then it's just not usefull to have full covers. If you can do the 3D rendering job feel free to contact us

. Besides that... what is the backside of the cover good for? You can barely read what's written on the back.

Get rid of cios13.The freezing issue your having is a bug in rev13.Go back to 12 or even 10

thanks for your advice, but i dont think its going to help since i just upgraded from 10 to 13 this morning. any other suggestions anyone?

Lol - they were all the ones missing from wiiboxart.com strangly

They are all up on the site now if u want to get them thanks to NeoRame.
