Is it obligatory to install Starfall for cIOSCORP?

Can I install cIOSCORP on a 4.0 Wii?

I just installed the Neo Gamma R4 channel and when I try to reboot with hooks it just says "could not boot menu" or something like that. Why? I have cIOS 249 Rev13b and System Menu 3.2U.

im not sure what the official answer is on this one, but i do know this:

once you install cioscorp onto any wii, you can no longer get updates for the homebrew channel, the makers of the hbc have a vendetta against cioscorp and the update packages refuse to run once cioscorp is detected.

so that means unless you already have the most up to date hbc, as well as bootmii and the divx (or dvdx i forget what they called it) installed, then you wont be able to install those items or update those items once cioscorp is installed.

wait for the final say from tj_cool, he seems to be the most knowledgable guy in this thread.

QUESTION:

in the Hermes_cIOS222_installer(from_uloader_2.0) package their are many other options other than cios 222, as well as a few options just for cios 222, what are the preffered options/configuration for this installer, and should i be intrested in the other cios' that the installer offers?

TJ, i apreaciate all the help you have gven me so far and i was just hoping to pick your brain a lil more.

oh and lastly is there a thread/data base that would show what the preffered settings are for each individual game, or is it the same process to "repair" all ios reloading games, i ask because its a tad confusing keeping up with all the 002 error, anti 002 error, alt dol, block ios reboot, gobbely gook.

and i was just hoping there was a thread somewhere that listed what each individual game required to run, again i am using usb loader gx 1.0 rev 566

oh and just one more about nand flashing, i know on the psp using another nand other than your own is a big no-no, but how bout on the wii, can i use my psp nand on my wii?

just kidding, i would be doing this if i did

but really could i use my nand on a buddies wii, instead of manually upgrading/installing all his ios/cios? just curious

.However All IOS reloading games need the extract main dol method (sometimes its called different though)

but its only available to members now, and you must donate to become a member.

its kinda f#cked up that they request the box art and disc art from the community and then turn around and charge that same community when they're the ones that made the site possible in the first place, f#ckers

i might become a member just so i can take all there disc art an upload it all over the place

Ok i've been using GeckoOS to play "Brawl+" (brawl with specific cheats), but the DVD/reader is starting to fail so I decided to get it on the usb loader instead.

Is there a loader that lets me load the cheat file just like in GeckoOS? My favourite loader (coverflow) has stuff like blocking online, and some cheat manager, and this is not what i need. I just want to use the cheats on my SD card, like in Gecko OS.

okay maybe i was a lil harsh they're not so bad after all, they will let you become a member, for what ever you can afford to donate, i gave them 1 euro (because the payment is in euros) and they let me in, it was however a bit of a pain using the log in, but if you message via the shoutbox dj taz helps you immeaditely.

i know i have at least 2 installed but what versions e.t.c. i have no idea..

I just got a wii and I need to know some things...

A friend of mine put a program inside called "Backup Launcher v0.3" (But he told me that since my firmware edition is small 3.1 he couldn't put something in) and I have some problems with it....

1)Some games (especialy japanese ones like Gintama, both Haruhi Suzumiya Games) plays them in black and white and when I try to "Force PAL60" the Wii frozes up when I load them (other games like Fragile and One Piece Unlimited Episode 1 plays them ok).

2) Some other games stop playing (The game disk could not be read or something like that). But until now I saw it only on 2 games (No More Heroes and Resident Evil Umbrela Chronicles).

and I have some other questions...

3)Can I update my Wii's firmware by some other way except internet since where I live I don't have Wi-Fi or an Internet Connection. Does this affect the Backup Loader or not?

4)How can I install homebrews (Like megaman 9) on my Wii (if anybody can PM a link with a site that I can download them would be good)

5)Is there a specific way to burn games on DVD (Since I used Alcohol 120% with X4 speed and I don't know if this ok or not)

6)Where can I download games? (Is torrent ok or there are chances of getting a bad dump? or there is also a site with good ones? link in pm also if possible thanx)

Well...I hope that somebody can help my with those things

hey guys.. ive got a strange problem... actually everything went well with my loaders... it recognizes the usb harddisk and every game works so far... but since today... my wii freezes when loading a game from the backup loader( im using ogzeees based on wanin 1.5)...it seems the game continues running, but my remote control doesnt work anymore ... for example when playing tennis people are still cheering and i can see my player standing, but waiting for my serve.. so its not a crash or sth.. but what is it?..someona has similar problems? i tried different usb harddisks and flashdisks, but it still doesnt work.. its kind of luck .. sometimes it freezes after 1 minute sometimes after 5... hope someone can help me...
my specs: 3.2E, rev13b, ogzees backup loader, 0.3 gamma,

with the backup loader , i think one day i saw a tread here , with a new version of a file i dont remember the name (i think it has REV in it ) to get a better compatibility , did i dreamed or i just really cant find it xD
