Why usb game broken main.dol?

dolpath—*****for replacement dols for certain broken games.
alternate dol-- this is for advanced users only. There are certain games which do not run because they they reload IOS and this causes the USB to be dropped. If you extract the proper dol from the ISO and name it with the 6 character game ID and put in the dolpath, you can use enable this option to play these games.

I thought wfbs broken some.doll and USB game not working.

If main.dol, just keep in valid dol or change it form usb image.

It was a typing mistake ! i meant main.dol ...
I replaced it. with wbfs it reads it 0.13 g and there is no way ...
I burnt it on a dvd and it freeze on black (load) screen ...

Today i fixed Fifa 2008 (should also working for nfl 2008 i guess not tested yet)

Extract game.dol (eu folder with scrubber)

and start loader gx Rev 543 , settings : fix 002 , alt dol and block cios reboot.

could someone can confirm also ? working here with cios 13b

at last I run SSX Blur with both usb loader gx and neogamma . dont change any setting but alt dol ...
but there is mess when I start playing ... Is there any hope to correct the graphic problem ?

hmm ! th problem was because of cIOS38 rev13a ! I install rev12 and the graphic problem solved . there was onother problem with rev13 . i can't run a game 2 times . after the first run of a game i got a black freeze screen and i had to reset my wii and the next time it run right ...

so I choose rev12 ...

i have those issues on madden nfl 07 and 08,
graphic errors on 7 and graphics and sound problems on 8.

i dont know i i can install 222 hemes without any problems, or that i have to go back to cios 12.

Well, I don't get the mk7.dol to work with NeoGamma.
- I renamed it properly and put it in sd:/Neogamma/
- Set the HookType to GC
But NeoGamma tells me "out of memory"

What's wrong ?

HotD 2 still has issues when using the alt dol, hermes 222, wanis 249, block ios reload, or any combination of them.

When unlocking the 'one time only' mini game in arcade mode, after playing it either freezes on a black screen or reboots to the system menu... depending on what options listed above you are using.

Had enough with this game & am just going to play via disc from now on.

1. Open a backup copy of your Mortal Kombat ISO in WII Scrubber

2. In partition 2 right click on MK7.dol and extract it to your desktop (if using wiiscrubber 1.4 it will be partition 1)

3. Rename MK7.dol to main.dol

4. In patition 2 right click on main.dol and replace it with the one from your desktop. (if using wiiscrubber 1.4 it will be partition 1)

You're done Simply install the modified ISO using your favorite WBFS manager and USB Loader. It might not hurt to append USB after the name in WBFS manager so you know it's the modified ISO.

I thought extracting the mk7.dol renamed to GAMEID.dol, put under sd:/NeoGamma/
got the same effect. But it seems ALT.dol doesn't work in NeoGamma...
... at least not for me.

So maybe I'll close my PS more often and open up the PN.

I just tested this and can confirm it working.
I wonder why wiiscruber can handle different filesizes and NeoGamma can't....
Would be great if someone finds a way to do it without messing with the isos.

...playing with different images... sometimes U find an alternative.dol but bigger then the main.dol so wiiscrubber can't replace the file...
...Seems like replacing files (for ex. not needed language) with 1kb trash files can give you the needed space for the alt.dol.
...I would nobody recommend doing this, cos it's illegal in some country, cos you modify copyrighted material...
...Just wanted to let you know.... In case you didn't already know. ^^

You are playing with your own NeoGamma mod, right? Do you get the same error with my version? If that's the problem i change the .dol loading code to diretlly write where it belongs without a buffer.
