hi, i have a problem with the gamma 0.3, for some reason i cannot skip cut scenes on super paper mario and super mario galaxy, these are the only games i have burnt, i did burn the games on a dvd+r as i havent gotten around to buying -r yet, i am 3.2E soft modded
I can't get PAL games to work on my NTSC wii without black and white and weird video output =[

Er, i guess this is the right place to ask this.
So, it's my first time in the Wii scene, and i've tried reading guides etc, but there seem to be so many of them for different things.
Now what i want to know is: how do i play backup wii games on my wii. I want the most simple way, as i only want to be able to do that, nothing else , just plainly beeing able to play a backup (burned) wii game on my Wii.
I read you can run the games directly through the Disc Channel, or install another channel that runs backup discs?
I don't know what info you need from me, but i'm using a day 1 PAL Wii, with the 4.0 firmwire (SD Card support thingy)
What do i need to do know?
Also,will i be limited to Pal games only, or will the Wii be Region free?
Ofc, i want the game brick proof if needed.
Also if i understand correctly, no twilighthack is needed for any of this is it?

Loading through disc channel isnt reigon free but using backuploader gamma will let you force reigons so youll be able to play ntsc games too games wouldnt need brick protection but if youre going to also use homebrew get bootmii and preloader .

BACKUP YOUR SD CARD BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE
DELETE EVERYTHING ON YOUR SD CARD OR THIS WILL NEVER WORK
ONLY THE FILES IN THE 2 ZIPS SHOULD BE ON THE SD CARD!!!
WILL NOT WORK ON LU64+ SERIAL NUMBERED Wii's
What you need:
WiFi (Important)
"DOWNLOAD1" http://bannerbomb.qoid.us/ (Grab the newest aad1f_vxxx.zip and extract the private folder to the root of the SD Card)
"DOWNLOAD2" http://www.yafaze.com/wii/files/4.0softmod.rar
bootmii.org download the hackmii installer and install homebrew channel and bootmii first.
Instructions:
Put the contents of both zips on your SD Card as it is in the zip, just drag all to SD Card.
Go to Data Management then choose Channels followed by SD
Choose "Yes" to load boot.dol
LoadMii will then load.
Press "A" on the WiiMote.
Go down to DowngraderIOS35.dol and run it by pressing "A" on the WiiMote.
Choose downgrade IOS35 and then let it go, then choose exit (ignore the patchmii and dvdx)
You'll be back in LoadMii now.
Go down and run Wad Manager 1.4 by pressing "A" on WiiMote.
Just select normal settings (don't change IOS)
Install IOS35.wad.
Exit Wad Manager 1.4 by pressing "HOME"
You'll be back in LoadMii.
Run Wad Manager again, Select IOS35 when it asked what IOS to use.
Install the CIOSv7.wad.
Press "Home" to exit.
Then Run Wad Manager again.
Tell it to use IOS249.
Install IOS36.wad, BUL3g.wad
You will now restart Wii to find that Backuplauncher and Homebrew Channel are installed and working.
Should be all hacked now and ready to grab the new version of CIOS (v13b atm) from yafaze.com.
Further Steps
WARNING!
Do not install Preloader before installing IOS60.wad. This will create a (fixable) semi-brick. If you want to use Preloader, install it after IOS60.
To enable playing wad installed games from the 4.0 SD menu:
- Install IOS60.wad using Wad Manager (from either HBC or the same way you booted it during guide) http://www.yafaze.com/wii/files/IOS60.rar
To enable the use of USB Loader and to fix the 002 error on most backup discs:
- Install CIOSv13b Using HBC http://www.yafaze.com/wii/files/ciosrev13binstaller.rar
To downgrade your IOS files to Trucha Bugged versions for Preloader and other homebrew applications:
- Run IOSdowngrader using HBC http://www.teknoconsolas.tv/wanin/IOS-Downgrader_v1.zip (This will not change your System Menu version.)

I'd prefer to stay away from cIOSs, but I'd like to be able to keep my system Trucha vulnerable so I can run fake-signed wads.

3) When running a new game for the first time use Gecko OS to install missing IOS files.
Will this keep me on System Menu 3.2 and keep my Trucha vulnerable IOSs in tact? If I've already updated through Gecko OS can I then play games through the disc channel without fear of update? If not, what's the appropriate way to block unwanted updates without resorting to cIOS or unsupported hacks like Starfall.

Ok, so I havent paid much attention in all of the forums as I should have, I guess I am getting overwhelmed with the constant USB loaders. My question is can I install CIOS 222 even though I already have a 4.0u waninoko's update, cios rev 13b, and my usb loaders currently use ios 249..I dont want to overwrite and mess anything up because I got my setup working mostly the way I like it, discs in back up channel, etc...
but I want to be able to use the CIOS 222 comptability...

Why are there so many different cIOS?
How many cIOS are there and how many ios does the wii have? and what part uses each one? that would be cool to know.

Sorry for that Usbloader isnt needed its like backup loader but you can play games from a usb hardrive or a flashdrive.If you were to get a game like Super Smash Bros 64 and install it through wad manager and it would be like a channel Backup loader gamma can play back up discs and reigon free games and if you wanted to cheatsZane said:
