From DVD (not USB/SD)

"Indiana Jones And The Staff Of Kings" works fine
"Grand Slam Tennis" too

For those that are getting stuck at the wii-mote strap warning screen. If you press the home button just as you see the white wii-mote strap warning screen load, it does not freeze. It sounds strange I know, but works for my copy.

Is your wii mote hard synced with your Wii?
It's been so long since I originally synced my Wii Remotes that I don't recall. What's the procedure for a hard sync (as opposed to a soft sync)?

Open the place where the SD card goes in the front, there should be a red button there, press and hold it for 15 seconds ( this wipes out the previous syncs ), then take off the battery covers from the remotes, there should be a red button there as well.

To sync

Press the button on the controller, then the button on the wii.

Do this for each controller you have, in the order you want them to be (first controller, second controller, etc..)

I already tried this to no avail, but you're welcome to do so since everyone seems to be getting different results.

Well, I followed your instructions and the game booted, but it's probably another random success.

I'm going to play the game for a few minutes while it's loaded, then reboot and try again. I'll post a follow-up after the second test.

After some trial and error, despite receiving error after error while trying to installed cios rev 13, I gave up and said wtf I'll just try and load it now even though it says that cios didnt install and it shows rev 7 at the bottom of neogamma. Without any settings and just going to launch game. It works. I have turned it off after hours and tried it again and without any new settings it works just fine.

Very fun game btw!

GHOSTBUSTERS WORKS AND PLAYS FINE,
PUT NEOGAMMA ON YOUR SD CARD IN APPS FOLDER,
RUN THE APPLICATION FROM INSIDE THE HOMEBREW CHANNEL,
SELECT NEOGAMMA, PICK YOR SETTINGS, DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU WANT TO RUN,
TADA! IT WILL PLAY GHOSTBUSTERS. WIIMOTES WORK 100%

KEEP IN MIND, YOU NEED TO RUN IT FROM HOMEBREW CHANNEL,
YOU NEED THE SD CARD IN YOUR WII.

SAME RESULTS FOR THE NEW INDIANA JONES GAME PAL VERSION OF GAME.

MY WII IS 3.3, IOS249 REV 7 ALSO I HAVE THE 002 FIX AS BACKUP CHANNEL GAMMA, WHICH IS NOT USED FOR THESE GAMES.

Here the way i got it to work on (Wii 4.0U, cIOS pack 4.0, cIOS rev13 B)

starting using the disk channel, as soon as the screen goes off i ejected the DVD, i got a insert the dvd screen, i did and the game loaded perfectly.

Im not sure about my sims racing, but Indiana Jones game is running all good on my setup.. My wii serial number start with LU641 and i got no LU64fix.. not sure if there is a link.

No 002 fix
NeoGamma R4 Rev4

... But I think... Maybe it's because i'm PAL... Who knows ?!

I tried using the same method when launching through NeoGamma R4 RC4 and was able to get the "Please insert the Ghostbusters game disc" message, but when I put the disc in, the game still locked up at the Wii Remote safety screen.

The only interesting difference is that the blue first player light on my Wii Remote stayed lit even after the console lit up. I waited about 30 seconds and pressed every button on the Remote several times, but the game still didn't proceed past the safety screen.

I would like to kow if anyone has gotten Ghostbusters to work with a seagate freeagent go 500 gb hard drive.
Reason being, I have came to the conclusion that the problems with usb loading is related to the usb bus of the Hard drive enclosure.
The basis of this conclusion is I have tested this out on 4 hard drives at the moment and I have gotten Ghostbusters to work with 3 of the drives.
This all came about when I bought a Western Digital My passport Eilte 500 GB Hard drive.
someone on this board commented that WD has spindown Issues, and Seagate Freeagent Go could be set to never spindown.
I then decided to take the drive out of the WD enclosure and put it in my macbook because I desperately needed the extra drive space.
Everything was working fine on the Seagate up until Ghostbusters.
Indiana Jones, Tiger Woods, My Sims Racing all loaded fine using neogamma rev 3 and 4 as well as usb loader gx all revisions, with 002 fix on cios rev13a.
With Ghostbusters everything I tried with the seagate drive would not work.
I then tried to loading Ghostbusters on a older macally powered enclosure with a 120gb maxtor drive and Ghostbusters would load without any problems.
On start up the wiimote light would go out for a second then come back on and the game would load every time.
I then got suspicious and loaded the game on another external hard drive with a powered enclosure I had laying around and the game booted up every time as well.
I then thought maybe the game requires a external drive with a powered encloure.
For my next test I took a old 2.5 inch Seagate LD25.1 20 gb hard drive which I took out of a non functioning E-68 error xbox 360 enclosure I bought on ebay.
I then proceded to format it wbfs and connected it to the WD my passport elite's usb enclosure and loaded only ghostbusters onto it.
Guess What, It friggin worked. It loaded up without a hitch.
I then connected my seagate drive back in and Nope it would not load.
I am about to rip apart the seagate drive and connect it to the wd enclosure to see if it will work.
From these tests I have concluded that Ghostbusters will not work with the usb chipset that comes with the seagate freeagent go drive.
The only way I will know for sure is to exchange enclosures.
I should have never bought the Seagate freeagent go 500gb hd and stuck with the WD My Passport Elite drive because I did not experience any spindown issues of games crashing.
Could someone please let me know if there Seagate freeagent go 500 gb drive is booting Ghostbusters?
Does this seem logical that a game would not load because of a usb chipset?

Edit:
I pulled the Seagate freeagent go hard drive (500 gb Momentus) and put it in the WD my passport enclosure and Ghostbusters still froze at the same spot.
So my USB bus conclusion was falty. I now think the Momentus drive in some way is the problem.
But the only way to be sure would be to know if the Ghostbusters loaded off the WD my passport which now resides in my macbook.
Either way it seems to be a hard drive related problem. This is driving me nuts. I hope all future game releases arent this problematic.

Please let me know if you have or have not got this game to work with Seagate freeagent go 500 gb (momentus) drive or WD My Passport Elite 500 gb (Scorpio Blue) drive.
I also feel it would be important to state what hard drive you are using when you post, this way we can narrow down what drives work or dont work with this buggy game.

EDIT: I went out and purchased a new WD my passport elite and Ghost busters loads up fine from it.
However it will not run off my Seagate freagent go.
Bottom line is GB will not run off of a Seagate freagent go 500 GB, It will freeze at the controller screen.

Hello everyone,
lurked here for ages and finally registered.
wink.gif

Now for me to get this game working consistently I have the following setup:
3.2U
cIOS 38 rev 13a

Lockups:
Using NeoGamma R3, if I load from the DVD (default settings), I get the lockup at the wiimote screen roughly 70% of the time (5 successful loads out of 20).

100% working for me:
So I took a SanDisk 8gb MicroSD, with a converter. Format to wbfs then dumped the game onto it. Now when I use NeoGamma R3, mount the SD and load the game from SD it works 100% of the time.

For the record, the image (NTSC) was brickblocked, IOSptached to "30" then scrubbed. Regardless if that was necessary, thats what i did... lol

Just figured I would share how I managed to make it work 100%.

MD
