Hi everyone,
I just baught Wii Motion Plus (WMP from now on) and I first tried it with Grand Slam Tennis. I wasn't very happy about it tbh. The only thing different with WMP plugged in, is that you can make the character swtich between a forehand and a backhand. I was hoping i could make the character point his racket to the air and everything, just 1:1. I was also able to play it whitout watching and almost without any force (I even accidentally hit the ball while strapping the wii mote to my wrist).
So i decided to try PGA 10. Same story. I wasn't able to aim the club to the sky or to the left or right. And i also didn't like the fact that i hit the ball kinda hard without a lot of force. I decided to give WMP one last chance with disc golf. I didn't like the game-mode, but I finally saw some WMP action. I moved the disc around with and without WMP, and there is a big difference!
I understand (well.. I hope) that aiming your racket/club to the sky only can't be done because EA didn't build in this features (same story with the amount of force you need). But this topic is about the first impression of WMP. And since these are the only games for it at the moment, I must say that I'm disappointed. Maybe it's also because i don't like the games, but I think WMP could have a better start with games like Wii Sports Resort (or Red Steel 2). Games that show the full potential of WMP.
I was looking forward to an evening/night of fun with WMP, but I already plugged it out. I think it will stay unlplugged untill Sport Resort is out (or another WMP game, but I'm not sure there will be before Sports).
Please let me know what you guys think and how you feel about your first WMP experience!
