I don't feel bad, I feel smarter than people who still buy the games.

The only thing I feel bad about is hurting the industry.
There have been Many Times That I have paid $35 -$50 for a game and Hated it! Took it back The next day only to get $6 Trade in. I love having these games readily available, My kids and I Love to Play games, and we could only afford To get one On Birthday's and Holidays. Not to mention The gaming industry has made Thousand from us in System, and game trade ins because that was the main way we got games.

I don't feel bad but then I honestly only do it to try before I buy a game. I have no problem paying for the quality DS games and actually prefer owning the actual copies of commercial releases, but I'm not spending my money on a potentially crappy game if I don't have to.

I can't afford games or music because all my money goes to bills and rent. If i do have an actual copy of a game it's because I got it as a present. I don't feel bad because I wouldn't be buying the game anyway so no one is losing anything.

Me? Feel bad? Hardly. Considering the fact that DS games are ridiculously overpriced (about $50 in my country, comparable to a PC game), I have no qualms pirating them. They are simply just not worth the money.

I don't care... Honestly, people over price their games. Pirating isn't a good thin, but most of the time, I limit myself by only pirating for games I really want to play or get.

Normally I don't like pirating stuff (PC programs) - but when it comes to games then I'm afraid that's usually all I do (note only DS games & not Wii etc).

Normally you read such a great review about a game that you think you REALLY want to play it,
So you go out & buy it (~£25-45 depending on the game system it runs on)

However after a while you find the game loses it's appeal, perhaps too repetative, or you find the control system is not too your liking - whatever the reason you then think 'this is really a waste of money'

Of course that's exactly what has happened - you've spent your money on a supposingly great game, & you find out it's not as good as you were led to believe... therfore money wasted. The only option is to dump it in the bin or try & sell it on to try & get SOME money back

I WILL buy games if I really do like it, or it has some extra add-on appeal (On the PC for e.g. I happen to have virtually all of Halflife 'series'), but personnally I don't feel guity on pirating games

Sometimes I do at first if its a really good game, then when I get it and start playing and realize how awesome it was to get it in like 2 minutes without spending a dime I stop caring ^__^

Nope... I live in Korea, where all DS games are in Korean. I don't speak it well enough to handle playing a game in it, so I just download my English ROMs and am happy.

I don't feel bad about initially pirating a game. However if a game is worth the buy or is extensively complicated i will go purchase it for the sole reason of having the manual, the box art and contributing to a game designers hard work.

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus

Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

AI assisted game creation might become a thing

At least that's something I think would be pretty cool.

Many TBs of assets and the programming of something like that is going to be tough but I think it's something we might see in 20 years maybe sooner
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there

and using LLMs to generate NPC dialogue and even dynamically generated quests is something i'm sure is already happening
