Hello,

My PSP have this big problem:

I turn on the PSP is always searching for an UMD to read. Every 10 seconds it is looking for an UMD in the drive.

How do i permanently disable the UMD?

Note: I have UMD auto start off and have cfg fw with m33 driver already.

then hold right shoulder button as you turn the PSP on and you should go into recovery mode from there there is an option somewhere to turn off the UMD drive

What is the exactly option i have to select?

I have pandora and cfw 5.03 and i already selected the "m33 driver (no umd)", but psp keeps reading the UMD drive

Well, you could just always leave a UMD in the drive to make it stop doing that, and just go on playing your games through the Memory Stick.

But, in your recovery menu, under advanced configuration, you'll see a list of 5 settings, are the first two disabled or enabled?

It does not work, it keeps reading the UMD all the time, what about if i open the PSP and manually disable it?

That would fix the problem (considering i don't use UMDs)

It also have other problem, because it is always attempting read UMDs the console is very slow. It takes ages to launch homebrew (like hellcat recovery flasher)

Ah I see what you're saying. It sounds like your whole umd drive is fucked to the limit.

Either buy a new one, or yes, open it up and disable the connector or whatever is in there, haha.
