If you're still having trouble with spell/trap cards, try getting your hands on Heavy Storm, Breaker the Magical Warrior (unless he's banned -- is he banned right now?), Dust Tornado, and Mystical Space Typhoon -- I think you can get all of them from the early packs. Everything except Dust Tornado is still restricted (I think), but they'll help a lot.

Dust Tornado and MST are the most basic spell/trap destruction cards in the game. You should have as many of each as you can in a deck.

Breaker the Magical Warrior is simply overpowered (which is why I can't remember if he's banned at the moment or not -- he's one of those cards they're always flipping between banned and restricted); he's a 1600-attack spellcaster who becomes a 1900-attack spellcaster when you summon him, and you can give up his 300-attack bonus to destroy a spell or trap... so he's a beatstick who doubles as easy destruction.

But Heavy Storm is probably the most important. It destroys every spell/trap on the field, and while that includes yours, a well-timed Heavy Storm can basically give you the game because it nets you so much card advantage.

Oh, and don't forget to go online every day for a free card. Sometimes they are good.

If you've played other card games, you already know, but make your deck as small as possible so there's less luck in your draws.

Thanks.

Only thing, though. I was thinking the same thing as far as keeping my deck small, but then, of course, there's the idea of running out of cards and losing because of not being able to draw. I bought a ton of card packs from the first shop, but none of the cards seem that great yet compared to what I'm up against. So, maybe it's better to keep my deck on the larger side until I get better cards?

Also, how do I keep track of what I've already bought? They never seem to sell out of packs, and they all look exactly the same. Do they just randomly generate cards, or are they the same packs?

Really? I found the previous game much more easier, they are more likely to last 10 turns compared to this....

They sell different packs, each pack has it's own cards, as shown in the card list (check at your duelist menu).
Maybe you think some of the card it's for fool use, like Foolish Burial card, which makes us discard 1 card from deck to graveyard.

But what if you take it's advantage, well let's say pick the highest level creature to your graveyard and special summon it using monster reborn?

Every card has it's advantage and disadvantage, maybe it looks like a junk, but don't be fooled

Little secret, the starter deck (at first game) + little remix there, 75% win including that fool King Atlas, without calculating it's luck of course

Wuah~ I begin to love my zombie remix deck

This is probably the easyest yu-gi-oh game i've ever played, i dont know why you people think its so hard. Most people i know get stuck when you have to run past the guards, it took time for me to do that, but i still done it, eventualy I completed story mode.

If anyone needs help with this game then ask me

Also, the people roaming about are no problem at all to defeat.

My technique is high atk lvls and strong trap and spell cards. however themed decks are much better.
I built a spell-caster deck and it rules everyone.
Also a dragon type deck would be strong, but not if all monsters you used were dragon type , use other cards too.
And building a deck for fusion monsters are the strongest i've seen, 'cos you can fusion summon from your hand and cards like future summon are good for fusion monsters like F.G.D and cyber dragon and others.

Just pack your deck with around 45-55 cards (mine is about that), have a few psychic tuner cards in your deck (for synchro summons) and only play them when using a syncho summon. Also, have some nice traps and spells which can take out monsters or negate the battle phase. I also like using cards with 1600+ attack (unless there is a good effect) or cards with 1800+ defence. I have a monarch card (2400 att, 1000 def i think) which you must get because its awesome. Also, the best level 8 card i have found (and always use) is the Creator. Its ability wins duels.

Okay, now at what point does the side deck come into play? I can't remember if Synchro Summons are summoned from there using Tuner monsters, or if the synchro monsters have to be part of my regular deck. Will the game cue me when I'm able to summon from my side deck? And can I add cards to my side deck, or are you unable to edit that deck?

I'm not sure if the side deck really has a use in the game not that i've seen anyway, synchro monsters are like a grayish/white card and when added they automatically go where there suppose to,they do not count as cards towards your deck nor do fusion monsters, most synchro monsters require 1 tuner monster and 1 non-tuner(unless otherwise stated on the card),and to summon a synchro monster you need the required amount of levels(the stars at the top of the cards) to match the monster your trying to summon, for example lets say you want to summon a level 6 synchro monster you need a combo of 2 monsters (1 tuner and 1 non tuner,in most cases) equal 6 levels, you know either 3+3,4+2,etc etc i'm sure you get the idea and when you have fulfilled those requirements the deck to your left (aka fusion/synchro deck) will have a pink circle with stars indicating you can summon a synchro or fusion monster.....
