So far 233 seems stable and flawless. Was able to download 3D Covers and Disc Covers without any problems. Out of 21... it only missed 1 because it wasn't on their server yet (CID The Dummy). Plus just to see... it auto created the folders too.

Only thing that still needs to be implemented is to save the System Settings and not just the Disc Settings. Other than that... fantastic work all.

One a personal note... on the downloaded Disc Covers... not a fan of what style they are using for downloads. Stock art isn't my thing. Rather see the Custom stuff for downloads.

Dude... what do you think we are doing here? Think this is a wishing well? If you don't want the extras go and stick with the original Loader from waninkoko -.-

There has been a loader released that reads the covers from the fat partition on the usb disc - which i think is the way to go with future releases.

A small fat 23 partition and a wbfs partition on the same drive with covers auto downloaded to the fat partition from the online cover database and as such no more need for an SD card.Text files readable from fat would also allow configs and hacks to be stored there.

is this a part of gui loader?

@Vettacross I personally dont like this idea much. But to do so we gotta create a setting then where user can choose between HDD and SD save mode of images. Not everyone can create a 2nd partition as FAT.
Making it isnt a big problem but i am not sure if its of any use.

i think saving to SD card is the way. Images are only small & i'm sure we all have huge SD cards for all the WiiWare

Is it possible to alter the Config file and make the system default to System Patch, as opposed to, Disc Patch?

Also... can someone explain what VidTV Patch does?

The ONLY thing that makes this "CUSTOM" is that I moved the "show_tooltip" variable to the "config.txt" file.
Hi TiMeBoMb, why to move this variable in config.txt ? This is a pure GUI option, so its place is less in config.txt than in theme.txt that is dedicated to GUI.
LOL...

I've explained this in several posts already, but here it goes again...
I don't use a custom theme, because the default graphics are wonderful! So, instead of having to create another .TXT file, just to turn off tooltips, I've recompiled the code to allow me to control this from my existing "config.txt" file.

The change was really just for me, but if others wanted this change too, I wanted to freely share my .DOL file.

I've asked the coders to make this simple change, in the GUI, but they have excersized their right to ignore me (this doesn't really bother me, though).

This is where the USB adventure end for me.

I decided to test it only since one week, and I just lose my HDD.
I was playing a game, without any problem, but I was a little sleeppy so I decided to take a nap, the Wii put itself in pause mode (no wiimote detected, press a button).
It lasted almost 2-3h like that.

Then, I waked up and tried to continue playing, the wii waked up, but not the game. I switched the Wii and the HDD off. When I switched the HDD On, the only thing it's doing now is making clicking noise, and is no more detected nor by the Wii nor by windows.
Bye bye 160Go HDD T_T

The USB adventure lasted one week, it was fun to follow the advancement.
I wish you good luck for the next steps.

PS : It's not the usbloader fault, I think it's my USB to IDE adapter which put the hdd in sleep mode, and the wii couldn't wake the HDD.
The hard drive didn't like the hard switch off I think

edit :
I don't know if the patch for the sleep mode is already present, but maybe you could add something again to let the wii read the iso even if the wii is in pause state for a long time.
I think it's not because I stayed switched ON and spinning for 3 hours than the HDD broke, but really because I switched it off at a bad time or because it was already in sleep mode when I did it.

if you want your own "custom" covers for games instead of the ones they are supposed to have , then just replace all the .png files individually . it doesn't need to be part of the code .

I bet it was the IDE to USB adapter that didnt put your HDD to sleep and fried it while spinning at full speed for 3 hours
