It's true, but there's a lot of games, especially for the DS, that we don't get in America. Even so, a lot of what we get IS their crap. I wouldn't use the word shovelware though, that's increasingly becoming an internet 'journalist' term for a game that they can't justify hating.

I can justify my hatred for every piece of shovelware out there. And, we don't get a lot of shovelware from Japan, unless it appeals to some demographic that will actually buy the game and sell successfully.DS1 said:

but this game isn't my cup of tea, the learning curve of this game is really steep

for ur first mission, u just need to hit 2/3 prizes to clear and they are stationary.

some examples
Hokuto no ken *ps2* it was a very fun fighting game, made from the Guilty Gear people =\ and that is one of the best anime/manga out there
the 2 DS Jump games
Taiko no tatsujin series *they only brought 1 with no real adverts and it failed epicly, but with all the rythem games, i dont see why it doesnt come back =\*
super robot taisen series *we got 1 or so*
Dragonball/naruto/one piece (DON) *it was a fun game, not the best but fun*
Fragile *theres almost no shot at seeing that*
bleach soul carnival
none of the heat the soul games... *better than a LOT of games we did get -,_-,*
none of the gundam games *psp or Wii*
none of the fun slot simulator games *ossu banchou i spent 300+ hours playing with friends xD i love that game so much!*
we never got any of the Ouendan games, we just got the lame US special release because so many people imported it =\

These are people that would actually pay for the games if they were on the shelves (yes those people exist!). Atlus is the only one making bold moves, even though a lot of what they bring over is crap, they know someone is going to like it.
Anyway why is this discussion going on in this game's thread? Nobody has posted anything pertaining to the game since the first page. I'm not too far in (3rd chapter, 1st scene) but so far I have to say the story is lame, the characters generic, but the music and artwork are decent.
