Before I mess anything up does the 4g G6 have .dat support for cheating. If so how do I go about putting the said file onto the cart? Mine doesn't have a Cheat folder so I'm not so sure it even supports it. I was reading how to make a cheat file by using R4 Cheat Code Editor (r4cce.exe), and it sparked some interest.

The firmware package should have included a cheat file along with it. Are you trying to make a new cheat file? Or put a default cheat file back in?

since G6Real/M3Real Touchpod uses the same firmware, on M3REAL some games will work when using .dat cheatfile, some games will freeze the system after choosing some cheats..so G6Real might support and it might not...it won't hurt to try

or another solution:
if you want to edit, delete or add new cheats, just get the .dat version and open it with r4cce...after editing, save the file then choose Save As cheat.db and copy it onto your G6 REAL

I don't think I have the "real" the cart just says G6 4G, I think the real came out a while after I purchased this one. Mine uses the program G6 U-Disk Manager which has no cheat option that I've found.

I found a site that uses "freeze codes" to help make a cheat (.dat etc.) file to use with a rom through r4cce.exe.

that is the G6Flash 3rd Gen....it doesn't support NDS cheats files (.db or .dat)
the only ways to cheat on NDS games in G6Flash 3rd Gen are:
1. use Dipstar (no one uses it anymore)
2. inject the cheats into the games using cracker's DASTM software

One of the sites that weren't blocked on the school's network was some file uploading sites. I would upload some games, write down the URL and take it to school one day.

It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
